Ana de Armas has made her first playful comments about Tom Cruise after being asked about the actor in a new interview.
It comes as dating rumours continue to engulf the Hollywood stars, who have been spotted out together on several occasions recently.
Tom, 62, failed miserably to conceal Ana, 37, as they left David Beckham’s 50th birthday bash together earlier this month, shortly after touching down in London via a cosy helicopter ride.
It’s believed the Top Gun lead then splashed out £4,000 to get the Blonde actress to Heathrow Airport in his private chopper as she left for New York City.
While neither party has confirmed they are more than friends or acting peers, Ana has confirmed they’re planning on remaining in each other’s lives for the foreseeable future, as Tom was mentioned in her latest TV appearance.
Chatting on Good Morning America, the Knives Out star spoke about taking on a role in the John Wick universe for her new film, Ballerina, opposite Keanu Reeves.
‘And I hear you’re working with another big star, he’s a stunt master himself, Tom Cruise,’ interviewer Michael Strahan began.
‘On another project that’s gonna lead you to do some other crazy stunts?’
‘What do you think?’, Ana replied, bursting out laughing.
‘You didn’t get enough with Ballerina? You’re asking for more?’, joked the host.
‘It’s so much fun,’ Ana said of taking on various risky challenges in the world of action movies.
‘We’re definitely working on a lot of things, not just one, but a few projects, with (directors) Doug Liman and Christopher McQuarrie,’ Ana said of Tom.
‘And I’m so excited.’
The former is a filmmaker who has already worked with Cruise on Edge of Tomorrow (2014) and American Made (2017), while the latter has joined the actor for various Mission: Impossible flicks.
In December last year, Deadline reported that Tom was joining director Doug for a supernatural thriller titled Deeper.
Meanwhile, after Ana and Tom were first seen on a night out in London in February, an insider told People that they were at dinner with their agents to ‘discuss potential collaborations down the line’.
It didn’t take long for her latest remarks to spread across social media, though, with film fans deeply invested in whatever relationship she may have with Tom.
@Cinefanaticsam wrote on X: ‘they are surely dating man’.
‘Tom’s is dating her for sure! [sic]’, said @Photomusicrock.
‘Sure they’re dating’, agreed @bullishkim.
Regardless, it seems people are pretty excited for whatever they’re cooking up, with @bolly_dude declaring: ‘Now that is a duo I didn’t know I needed.’
‘Exciting duo! Ana and Tom teaming up on multiple projects sounds promising’, added @SilentStormX85.
Ana and Tom have known each other since 2019, having met when they both starred in the movie WASP Network.
While we’re yet to get a proper scoop about a romance, it’s been said that Tom’s ex, Penelope Cruz, whom he dated in the early 2000s, gives Ana her seal of approval.
An insider told the Daily Mail: ‘Ana has said that Penelope is happy for her; she approves.
‘They know each other from the movie, and also they have friends in common in Madrid from when Ana lived there for a while.
‘Tom makes Ana feel safe, and that is very important to her.’
