Koechner plays a key role in this tech-fueled revival, joined by “Veep” actor Dan Bakkedahl, Daniel Roebuck of “The Munsters,” and genre icon Eric Roberts from “Runaway Train.” The cast also features Paul Bates from “Coming to America,” Vernee Watson from “The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air,” and younger stars like Catherine Corcoran from “Terrifier,” Samantha Bailey from “Just Add Magic,” Zachary Roozen from “Romeo and Juliet Killers,” and Noor Razooky from “The Old Man.” Legendary actor John Astin also returns, reprising his original role as mad scientist Professor Gangreen from the earlier films.

Created by Costa Dillion, Steven Peace, and John DeBello, the “Killer Tomatoes” franchise launched in 1978 and quickly grew into a cult phenomenon. It even spawned an animated series and gave George Clooney one of his earliest roles in 1988’s “Return of the Killer Tomatoes.”

Comic-Con Panel Reveals Exclusive Footage and Interactive Fan Experience

The official panel takes place Saturday, July 26, from 5:30 to 6:30 PM in Room 6A. Director David Ferino and producer Michael Polis, known for “Yo Gabba Gabba,” will be joined by cast members and a fully puppeteered killer tomato named Norman. Fans can expect behind-the-scenes insights, new footage, and unexpected reveals.

Meanwhile, the immersive booth experience at #3921 promises exclusive collectibles including limited edition trading cards, 11×17 teaser posters, and the wildest merch of the con: custom “BULL AIRS” sneakers designed just for the event.
