Andrew Garfield’s Golden Globes accessory has caused a stir online, with some fans admitting they are ‘not well’ after seeing his new look.

The We Live In Time star, 41, attended the prestigious award show yesterday evening wearing a dazzling dark green Gucci suit complete with a matching silk shirt.

But while he looked as dashing as ever, his ensemble really caught the attention of fans when he pulled out a pair of glasses and placed them on the bridge of his nose, posing for the many cameras.

And his teasing of fans didn’t stop there. While he was presenting an award alongside Kerry Washington, the A-lister appeared to bite his lip before once again pulling out his glasses, slowly putting them on and smizing at the camera.

Taking to social media, fans gushed over his good looks with @bestofgarfieId’s tweet earning over 10,000 retweets: ‘Don’t ask me any color of anything I am NOT WELL,’ they wrote.

@suay_girl added: ‘He knows he’s HOT,’ while @Junokawai said: ‘He’s aging quite well’. Another fan, @shxrlocked exclaimed: ‘Oh excuse me that’s so hot sir’.

‘BREAKING NEWS: Andrew Garfield in his reading glasses just received a 55-minute standing ovation from me in my bedroom,’ @Seanlofficial announced on their social media account.

@NamitaBalyan replied, adding: ‘Him putting on a show of putting on those glasses was a MOVE. WELL APPRECIATED MOVE.’

‘The way Andrew Garfield just put on his glasses’, @ari24films said alongside a gif of a person sweating and fanning their face.

The English-American star who won best actor in a motion picture: musical or Comedy in 2021 for Tick, Tick… Boom!, wasn’t nominated for an award at this year’s ceremony, but it’s safe to say he won the hearts of fans with his look.

It comes after his latest film, We Live in Time with Florence Pugh was released in the UK on New Year’s Day, earning rave reviews from fans and a strong 78% rating on Rotten Tomatoes.

The film premiered at the Toronto Film Festival in September 2024 and was released in US cinemas in October, opening at the box office with $24 million in its first weekend.

Andrew revealed during promotion for the film last year that while filming an intimate scene, he and his Oppenheimer star screen partner didn’t hear anyone yell ‘cut’ while filming a sex scene for the movie.

‘We were doing the first take of this very intimate, passionate scene,’ he told 92NY at a Q&A. ‘It’s a closed set, which means it’s only me and Florence and the camera operator, who’s a lovely man called Stuart.

‘And he’s very polite and very sweet and gentle. The director’s in another room next door. And so the scene becomes passionate and we get into it as it were and we go a little bit further than we were meant to.’

He continued, ‘It’s feeling safe and we just kind of… go from the next thing to the next thing and we’ll let this progress and we’ll just carry on,’ before revealing that he eventually noticed Stuart had stopped filming.

Not only had Stuart stopped filming, he’d also turned to face the wall, apparently waiting for Andrew and Florence to both realise the scene was, in fact, over.

We Live in Time follows Andrew and Florence’s characters Almut and Tobias as a chance encounter changes the trajectory of their lives, all while being aware of how much time is left for them.
