Andy Cohen Explains Why Rachel Zoe Is the ‘Perfect Fit’ for ‘RHOBH’

<p id=”par-2_45″>On June 6, Bravo announced that <a href=”https://www.cheatsheet.com/news/jeremiah-brent-from-say-i-do-reveals-he-met-husband-nate-berkus-through-rachel-zoe.html/”>celebrity stylist Rachel Zoe</a> would be joining the cast of <em>The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. </em>It marks her return to the network after a long absence. She previously starred in <em>The Rachel Zoe Project </em>from 2008 to 2013. </p>

<p id=”par-3_46″>Plenty of Housewives fans are convinced that Zoe will be a breath of fresh air in one of the network’s longest-running shows. And no one may be more excited than producer Cohen, who is confident that she won’t have any trouble gelling with the existing cast. </p>

<p id=”par-4_20″>“It’s so wild. She really fits,” he said in the June 10 episode of his <a href=”https://www.siriusxm.com/channels/radio-andy” target=”_blank” rel=”noreferrer noopener”>SiriusXM show <em>Andy Cohen Live</em></a><em>. </em></p>

<p id=”par-5_17″>One reason Cohen is excited about Zoe’s casting? She has genuine relationships with several current cast members. </p>

<p id=”par-6_23″>“She knows Kathy [Hilton] well,” he said. (One of Zoe’s early clients was Nicole Richie, who was friends with <a href=”https://www.cheatsheet.com/news/rhobh-kathy-hilton-kept-show-secret-paris-and-nicky-i-just-wouldnt-answer-my-phone.html/”>Kathy’s daughter Paris Hilton</a>.) </p>

<p id=”par-7_38″>“She knows Kyle [Richards],” Cohen continued. “She knows [Bozoma Saint John]. She was just on Boz’s podcast. She knows Jennifer Tilly … I think that she must know Sutton [Stracke] from being around. It’s just a perfect fit.”</p>

<p id=”par-8_33″>Zoe is coming into the <a href=”https://www.cheatsheet.com/news/bravo-adds-new-real-housewives-series-rhonj-rhony-pause.html/”><em>Real Housewives</em></a><em> </em>after a major shakeup in her personal life. In September 2024, she and her husband, Rodger Berman, announced they were divorcing after 26 years of marriage. </p>

<p id=”par-9_17″>Cohen said he wanted to make sure Zoe knew what she was getting into by joining <em>RHOBH. </em></p>

<p id=”par-10_96″>“She’s at a real transitional moment in her life,” Cohen said. “I was really rocked by the news that she and Rog were splitting up. I spoke to her a couple of months ago and … I just really wanted to make sure she had her head around it. Because, you know, it’s bananas, you know, whatever. And she did. She’s like, ‘I am excited. I want to be part of this ensemble. And I know them and it seems like such a perfect moment to come in.’ She’s like, ‘I’m dating. My life is different.’”</p>

<p id=”par-11_27″>“So, I think we’re going to see the Rachel that we love, but at a really different place in her life,” Cohen said. “And I’m really excited.”</p>
