Anne-Marie confirmed she had given birth to her second child with rapper husband Slowthai in May.
Five months on, and the singer, who rose to fame with hits like 2002 and Alarm, has finally revealed the name of their son.
While on This Morning, speaking to hosts Cat Deeley and Ben Shephard, she shared that their little one is called Forever Sugar.
Anne-Marie, 34, explained that she had gestational diabetes while pregnant with him and thought ‘what a perfect middle name’.
Ben, 50, called it a ‘rockstar’ name while his co-host Cat, 48, asked what had inspired the unusual choice of Forever.
She shared that her grandmother ‘always signed cards’ with ‘forever and always’, a tradition which her ‘mum and sister continue to do’.
The Ciao Adios singer and her husband, whose real name is Tyron Kaymone, also have a daughter named Seven, born in February 2024.
Cat and Ben called the name ‘cool’ but inevitably, negative comments flooded social media with one person saying he would ‘get his head flushed down the bog at school.’
Another joked: ‘I considered calling one my babies Gaviscon as I suffered bady with indigestion while pregnant.’
Fans hit back in the This Morning Instagram comments, defending Anne-Marie’s right to choose a unique and sentimental name, even if others don’t like it.
‘My son’s name may as well be Sugar bear, cause that’s all I ever call him 😂❤️ Forever Sugar is 😍,’ wrote dianasmith1539.
Hayleywaines_xo added: ‘Seven and Forever 😍 perfect sibling set.’
‘Absolutely love you and love the name Forever, cant say ive ever heard of a famous “forever” before. I love that. 🖕🏼 the haters l, its unique and beautiful 😍 xx,’ said ashton.90.white.
Anne-Marie fan account, annemarie_ninjas_forever, hit back with: ‘The comments is so disrespectful, she has a right to choose what’s her child’s name so shut up.’
The initial birth announcement came after the Psycho singer and went through the ‘hardest year’ when Slowthai was accused of rape.
The rapper, 29, and his friend Alex Blake-Walker, 27, were accused of raping two female fans on a rooftop after one of his performances in September 2021.
He had denied all charges and in December last year was cleared of the three joint counts of rape with Blake-Walker at Oxford Crown Court.
Anne-Marie was by his side the entire time, with the couple having secretly married in Las Vegas two years ago.
