<p id=”par-1_39″>Just when you thought <a href=”https://www.cheatsheet.com/news/king-charles-just-put-his-foot-down-as-andrew-can-no-longer-use-prince-title-and-must-leave-royal-lodge-home.html/”>Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor</a> and <a href=”https://www.cheatsheet.com/news/sarah-ferguson-could-embark-raunchier-endeavour-now-make-money-source-says.html/”>Sarah Ferguson</a> were the only royals associated with Jeffrey Epstein in the past, another member of a European royal family has been linked to the late convicted sex offender as well. </p>
<p id=”par-2_52″>The latest royal to get caught up in the Epstein scandal is Princess Sofia of Sweden. In leaked emails, the late financier offered Sofia, who worked a a model and reality TV star before marrying Prince Carl Philip of Sweden, an invite to stay at his private island in the Caribbean. </p>
<p id=”par-3_21″>According to the Swedish outlet <a href=”https://www.dagens.com/news/emails-reveal-epstein-invited-swedish-princess-to-private-island” target=”_blank” rel=”noreferrer noopener”>Dagens Nyheter</a>, they were introduced several times by a Swedish businesswoman and the princess’s mentor. </p>

<p id=”par-4_46″>The woman’s alleged email to Epstein read, “This is Sofia, an aspiring actress who just arrived in New York. She’s the girl I told you about before I left, who I thought you might like to meet. Maybe we can visit before you go on holiday?”</p>
<p id=”par-5_20″>Epstein replied, “I’m in the Caribbean. Does she want to come for a couple of days? I’ll send a ticket.”</p>
<p id=”par-6_19″>Sofia did not accept Epstein’s invitation and therefore is believed to have never set foot on the island. </p>

<p id=”par-7_32″>The German outlet <a href=”https://www.bild.de/unterhaltung/royals-adel/epstein-skandal-erschuettert-prinzessin-sofia-meidet-nobelbankett-69399532d865906264177ea5″ target=”_blank” rel=”noreferrer noopener”>Bild</a> reported that Sofia did end up meeting Epstein after that during one of the dinner parties the mentor allegedly helped to organize at Epstein’s Upper East Side mansion.</p>
<p id=”par-8_44″>In a statement, Sweden’s royal family confirmed that the meetings took place prior to Epstein’s conviction, saying that “Princess Sofia has been introduced to the person in question on a few occasions around 2005” and had no contact with him after those meetings. </p>
