Hollywood stars Lindsay Lohan and dapper Stanley Tucci led an audience of the rich and famous as Jannik Skinner and Carlos Alcaraz faced off at the US Open Men’s Singles Final on Sunday.

The stars were gathered at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center in Queens, New York, where Carlos claimed his second title victory at the US Open.

This marked his sixth major victory and made the 22-year-old the second youngest player in history to claim six major titles.

Among the attendees was US President Donald Trump, who was reportedly greeted in the stadium with a mixture cheers and booing.

Aside from the commotion his appearance caused – including delaying the match by half an hour due to ‘extra security measures’ being put in place – Freaky Friday star Lindsay was among the smiling celebrities in the stands, attending with her husband Bader Shammas.

Meanwhile, Hunger Games actor Stanley looked as immaculate as ever, in a pinstripe blazer and patterned navy tie.

Lindsay was all smiles as she sat with husband Bader, who she married in 2022 after three years of dating.

Elsewhere, The Devil Wears Prada star Stanley cut a striking figure in the stands, gently clutching a small cocktail glass as he watched through a pair of dark sunglasses.

Other huge-name actors present at the major showdown between Carlos and Jannik included Back to the Future’s own Michael J Fox, Friends star Courteney Cox, and It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia actor Danny DeVito.

The match was also attended by rock icons Bruce Springsteen and Sting, who were seated with It Wasn’t Me rapper Shaggy.

The Dancing In the Dark singer shared a handshake with The Police frontman Sting as he took his seat, together with his daughter Jessica.

Sitting just behind rock royalty was actor and comedian Ben Stiller, who was seated with wife Christine Taylor and next to The Office US star BJ Novak.

The event put Springsteen in the same room as Trump for the first time since their public spat earlier this year.

Springsteen previously described the Trump administration as ‘weird, strange and dangerous’ at a concert in Manchester.

‘The last check, the last check on power after the checks and balances of government have failed, are the people, you and me,’ the singer said in May.

‘It’s in the union of people around a common set of values now that’s all that stands between a democracy and authoritarianism. At the end of the day, all we’ve got is each other,’ he added.

Trump hit back by describing the musician as a ‘dried out prune of a rocker’ in a rant to his Truth Social platform.

‘I see that Highly Overrated Bruce Springsteen goes to a Foreign Country to speak badly about the President of the United States,’ he wrote in a lengthy post.

‘Never liked him, never liked his music, or his Radical Left Politics and, importantly, he’s not a talented guy — Just a pushy, obnoxious JERK, who fervently supported Crooked Joe Biden, a mentally incompetent FOOL, and our WORST EVER President, who came close to destroying our Country,’ he continued.

The Hungry Heart hitmaker wasn’t the only outspoken Trump critic in the stands this weekend.

Also present was US basketball player and Golden State Warriors Steph Curry, looking on with wife Ayesha Curry.

This comes eight years after he and his teammates were disinvited from the White House when Trump felt that they had been too hesitant in accepting his invitation.

In 2022, the NBA star described the prospect of a second Trump Presidency as a ‘serious threat,’ and spoke out against his ‘tone of divisiveness.’

Before the final, US Open winner Carlos weighed in on the controversy of the President attending the match, describing it as a ‘privilege’.

‘Well it’s a privilege for the tournament having the president from every country to support the tournament and support tennis,’ the tennis player said, after his victory over Novak Djokovic in the semi-final..

‘For me playing in front of him to be honest I will try not to be focused on that and think about it.

‘I don’t want my self to be nervous because of it. But attending the tennis match is great for tennis to have the president at the final.’
