A beautiful young content creator and local politician from Brazil is gone too soon. People reported on October 27, 2025 that a Lago Verde city councilwoman known as Fernanda Maroca, who shared fitness photos and gym routines with her Instagram audience along with posts related to her civil service job, died unexpectedly on October 23. She was just 30 years old. Her legal name was Fernanda Oliveira da Silva, per The U.S. Sun.
The outlet says Maroca’s cause of death is currently under investigation, and gives no other clues at this time. The report quotes a statement from the Lago Verde City Council that praised the social media maven for serving her community “with commitment, dedication, and love.” The statement also sent well wishes to her friends and family, saying the municipal administration expresses “sincere condolences and gratitude for all the dedication and service provided by Fernanda to the people of Lago Verde.”
Fernanda Maroca Had Over 50,000 Instagram Followers
Maroca had built a substantial following on her Instagram account which boasted 54,200 followers at the time of her death. The People report says at the time of her death, she was serving her second term as a city councilwoman after having previously completed two terms as president of the city council over the last five years.
The Lago Verde city government declared three days of mourning, according to the report, which also says a funeral procession and burial was held at midnight on October 24.
Maroca’s page was filled with happy images of her and friends and family enjoying life. Her final post, which she shared four days before her death, was captioned with a phrase that translates to, “Grandpa and grandma talking, and we’re running around.”
She often promoted products for the brand Gold Spell Cosmeticos.
The Sun says she was found deceased by family members at her home which is located near Sao Luis. No details on the cause have been reported yet.
Fernanda Maroca Was Warmly Remembered by Her Followers
The Sun translated some of the messages that were left in memory of the bubbly beauty. One read, “Iâm shocked by this news, I followed her Instagram for a long time, and now that Iâve seen this news, it feels like a hole has opened up beneath my feet.”
Another person wrote, “How sad for such a young, beautiful woman with such a future ahead of her.”
“Such a pure heart,” wrote a third commenter.
