Beckham family feud rumours reignite thanks to Victoria’s birthday fashion choice

Rumours of a feud between Victoria Beckham and her son Brooklyn Beckham and his wife Nicola Peltz have intensified following an interesting outfit choice by Victoria.

The Spice Girl celebrated her 51st birthday on April 17 and all of her children with social media followings – with the exception of Brooklyn and his wife – wished her a happy birthday online.

Her son Romeo Beckham, 22, shared an image of himself with his mother on his Instagram story with the caption: ‘Happy Birthday to the most amazing mum, keep shining and making us all proud, love you lots.’

Cruz Beckham, her youngest son, also reshared a post from his girlfriend, Jackie Apostel wishing Victoria a happy birthday with a throwback photo of Cruz as a child with his mum.

To mark the big day while celebrating in Miami, Victoria wore a two-panel corset and trouser co-ord from her 2024 collection – the exact same outfit worn by her 30-year-old daughter-in-law Nicola just over a year ago.

The set, costing £1,190, was memorably worn by Nicola to the premiere of her movie Lola after her mother-in-law gifted it to her. The pair even posted several photos together at the time.

Nicola told Vogue at the time that she was ‘so excited to wear Victoria Beckham on a night that meant so much to me.’ She added, ‘Victoria is a genius, and it was so special to collaborate on this beautiful custom look from her.’

Now, fans are wondering if Victoria was making a statement by dazzling in the look originally designed for Nicola -either to show up her daughter-in-law or as a peacemaking gesture.

Rumours of tensions between the Beckhams first began when neither Victoria nor David wished Brooklyn and Nicola a happy anniverary publicly, but it was the lack of happy birthday message for Victoria that really raised brows.

This was a surprising move from Victoria’s eldest son and his wife as the couple has typically made an effort to publicly praise the star on her special day.

In 2024, Brooklyn shared an image of himself as a child with his mother with the caption: ‘Happy birthday mum xx I love you so much x hope you have the most amazing day ❤️.’

Nicola also shared a sweet picture of herself last year with her mother-in-law with the caption: ‘Happy birthday to my beautiful mil @victoriabeckham i love you so much and love being your dance partner forever.’

In previous years, Brooklyn has also consistently posted on his mother’s birthday, and the family appears to make an effort to mark one another’s milestones.
