
Shirley MacLaine made a rare appearance in Malibu earlier this week, spending a relaxed afternoon with friends at an outdoor café. As per photos obtained by The Daily Mail, the “Terms of Endearment” star kept her look casual yet chic in a navy sweatshirt layered over a royal blue top, teamed with loose black pants.

As per photos published by Daily Mail, MacLaine, 91, looked upbeat as she chatted with friends at Kristyâs Village Cafe. She sipped a bright orange cocktail served in a stemless martini glass with what appeared to be a chili-salt rim.
Settling into a woven outdoor chair, she smiled often and soaked in the pre-Thanksgiving energy around her.

MacLaine Recently Reflected on Her Life and New Book

MacLaine also acknowledged that aging is often on her mind. She told People that while she does âwonder about how longâ she has left, she isnât focused on what comes after. When asked who she might want to be in her next life, she replied, âOh, honey, I donât know. I canât do that. Iâve got to spend some time in heaven first.â
MacLaine Reveals Why She Turned Down âBreakfast at Tiffanyâsâ
GettyMacLaine also opened up about one of Hollywoodâs most famous roles. The character of Holly Golightly in the 1961 classic “Breakfast at Tiffanyâs” was initially offered to her, she said, but she turned it down.
âI didnât want to have to worry about my weight to be able to wear all those outfits and do all those fittings,â she wrote in her book. She added that she âdidnât think it was a very good scriptâ at the time.
She told People that while she âdoesnât really regretâ the decision, the film is the one project she wishes she had taken.
