Luanna Araújo, a Brazilian fashion influencer with almost 100,000 Instagram followers, tragically died in a highway crash on her 29th birthday, September 26. Brazilian outlet G1 reported the accident occurred around 1:20 a.m. on the BR-116 highway. Araújo was in the car with her fiancé, Korbinian Andreas Dengler, 36, and their friend, Herbson Nunes Negrão, 24, when their vehicle collided with two trucks. All three passengers were killed instantly.
According to g1, one truck driver was pulled from the wreckage in critical condition and taken to a hospital, while the second truck driver sustained only minor injuries. Authorities have launched an investigation into the crash.
