Beloved Rob & Michele Reiner’s Final Resting Place Revealed

The death certificates for Rob and Michele Reiner have been released, providing some additional information on the star couple’s tragic passing.

Specifically, TMZ reports that Rob and Michele were both cremated at Mount Sinai Mortuary, with their final resting place being at their son Jake’s home.

Rob and Michele’s son, Nick, is currently facing murder charges in his parents’ deaths. He is one of Rob and Michele’s three children. Rob also adopted his daughter, Tracy, during his first marriage to Penny Marshall.

“Jake and Romy Reiner remain grateful for the outpouring of love and support they have received,” a new statement from the siblings’ spokesperson told PEOPLE on Monday, Dec. 22. “They will share information about a memorial service honoring their parents at a later date.”

PEOPLE also reported that the actor’s friends are showing support for his other children, with Billy Crystal and Albert Brooks among the people who have been there for Jake and Romy.

“Rob and Michele were beloved in Hollywood and their friends like Billy Crystal and Albert Brooks are truly like family and fiercely protective,” a source told the outlet, who added that Jake and Romy “will never be alone as they try to face this.”

“They are being incredibly strong and have a huge support system they can lean on,” they continued.

And with that, the source also provided some additional insight into how the Jake and Romy are dealing with this horrible tragedy.

“It’s of course been a huge shock to the system. This nightmare came out of nowhere for them, but they’ve been surrounded with support since the second they found out,” they said to PEOPLE.

Rob and Michele Reiner ‘Tried So Hard’ To Help Nick Reiner

When speaking with PEOPLE, one insider has provided some additional details on the efforts Rob and Michele went to to help their son, Nick, with his substance abuse struggles. Specifically, they “tried so hard already for years” to help Nick, but he “didn’t take the support seriously.”

Another insider told the outlet, “At the end of the day, Nick didn’t take the help seriously. This was true for years and years. His issues were far, far out of his parents’ control.”

“Nick lied a lot. He was unreliable, but he was also convincing and intelligent,” the insider added. “His family was empathetic to how much his struggles contributed to his behavior. They never lost hope in him, even when he was scaring them or making their lives harder.”
