From fictional power couple to real-life partners! Téa Leoni and Tim Daly have turned their on-screen chemistry into a lasting love story.
The âMadam Secretaryâ co-stars quietly tied the knot in an intimate New York City ceremony surrounded by only close family, Leoniâs rep confirmed to People.
From Co-Stars to Real-Life Couple

Leoni, 59, and Daly, 69, first met in 2014 on the set of âMadam Secretaryâ. They played on-screen spouses Elizabeth and Henry McCord. The political drama ran for six seasons, from September 2014 through December 2019.
In December 2014, People confirmed the two were dating after they were spotted together over the summer. Leoni attended Dalyâs performance in Red at Vermontâs Dorset Theatre over the Fourth of July weekend.
Their Romance Followed Leoniâs Divorce
Leoniâs relationship with Daly began shortly after she finalized her divorce from actor David Duchovny. They were married for 17 years, in August 2014.
Red Carpet Debut at the White House Correspondentsâ Dinner

The couple made their public debut at the White House Correspondentsâ Dinner in April 2015. They were joined at the event by legendary journalist Bob Schieffer and former Secretary of State Madeleine Albright, posing for group photos. âWeâre gonna be a hot table,â Daly joked to Bloomberg TV ahead of the event.
Schieffer added: âI called Téa and said, âHow would you like to come?â And I said, you know, weâd love to have you bring Tim along.â
Their Co-Stars Were Surprised â But Supportive
Shortly after their red carpet appearance, âMadam Secretaryâ co-star Geoffrey Arend spoke to People in April 2015 about the coupleâs low-key romance. âI heard a rumor about it, and everyone was like, âNo, no way!â And Iâm like, âMaybe,ââ Arend said.
âNobody really knew. You donât want to go to your boss and be like, âHey, so who are you dating?â So now I think weâre all really protective.â He added: âHe couldnât be a nicer guy. Timâs the best â theyâre really good together.â
On âMadam Secretary,â Téa Leoni and Tim Daly portrayed married couple Elizabeth and Henry McCord. Fans were stunned to learn their on-screen chemistry had spilled into real life. Off-camera, the pair had quietly fallen for each other, too. For Daly, love and family have always been at the heart of what matters most.
Back in 1993, he shared, âItâs more important to be loved and respected by people who live with you every day than by millions of faceless people.â
Now, decades later, Daly â who found lasting love both onscreen and off â continues to live by those words.
