Switch 2 leaks keep on pouring (Reddit)
As rumours continue to snowball around a potential reveal in January, new images have seemingly emerged of the Nintendo Switch 2.
Nintendo Switch 2 leaks have powered into overdrive over recent weeks, between videos seemingly showing the new Joy-Cons and hints it will launch with Mario Kart 9.
A wave of leaks have stemmed from accessory manufacturers, showing mock-ups of the console and seemingly outing its precise dimensions. However, Nintendo hasn’t confirmed anything about its successor to the Switch, aside from it being backwards compatible.
Yet another bunch of new accessories have now turned up on a Hong Kong-based website, including one that’ll likely be very familiar to many Switch owners.
As highlighted on Reddit, marketplace website Global Sources shows several Switch 2 listings from Chinese video game accessory company MTM Industrial Limited. These range from a silicone skin wrap, Joy-Con controller grip handles, and a polycarbonate protective case.
Another listing shows a steering wheel accessory for the Switch 2 Joy-Cons, similar to the one released for the original Switch.
While these mock-up images don’t reveal much we haven’t already seen, the steering wheel accessory gives the best look yet at the Joy-Con. The indicator lights on the Joy-Con, for example, are now forward-facing instead of being on the side, running along the presumably new, bulkier magnetic sliders outed in previous leaks.

Another mock-up image from the same manufacturer provides a better look at the console itself. A big talking point is what the extra button labelled ‘C’ on the right Joy-Con is designed for, with some speculating it could be related to a new chat function.
Others have suggested it could be a ‘cast’ button that allows you to use the console like a Wii U GamePad, where you connect to the dock wirelessly and beam games up to your TV at the touch of a button. This actually makes some sense, as an evolution of the Switch’s original concept.
Although it doesn’t look like an action button, the Nintendo 64 had four ‘C’ buttons in a D-pad configuration to the right of its controller. The second analogue stick on the GameCube controller, on the bottom right hand-side, was also referred to as the ‘C-stick’.
There’s a chance this button might not be labelled ‘C’ or even exist in the final product, but considering it has popped up on several Switch 2 mock-ups, it seems likely it will appear in some capacity.
Nintendo is set to announce its next console at some point before April next year, with rumours suggesting it could be as soon as January.
