According to People, Boreanaz remembered that production drove Betty White onto the “Bones” set, where she was immediately embraced by the cast. The legendary “The Golden Girls” actress was there as a guest star for an episode that aired in 2015. “They drive her in and put her—Ms. White—[they] usher her in. And she says hello to everybody,” Boreanaz recounted. He and Emily Deschanel were waiting when she arrived, and she showered Deschanel with compliments: “You’re so nice. You’re so pretty,” she said. But then came the moment Boreanaz says he—and the audience—won’t soon forget. “She looks at me, she goes, ‘Holy s—, I want to f— you. I want to f— you!’” He admitted it caught him off guard—but he couldn’t help laughing. Emily, sitting beside him, admitted she didn’t hear the line herself. “I’m not saying it didn’t happen. I’m saying I didn’t hear that, but that’s amazing,” she quipped.

Betty White’s Legacy: Sharp Humor and Unforgettable Moments

That outrageous line was perfectly on brand for Betty White, known for her bold comedic style across decades—from “The Golden Girls” to “Hot in Cleveland,” and more. Her guest role in “Bones” stoked fan excitement: she appeared twice, in Season 11’s “The Carpals in the Coy-Wolves” (2015) and Season 12’s “The Radioactive Panthers in the Party” (2017), playing the world’s most seasoned forensic anthropologist. Both appearances stood out for weaving her sparkling wit into the show’s scientific drama. At the same panel, T.J. Thyne called her “a little troublemaker,” and Tamara Taylor dubbed her “a legendary potty mouth.” Even in her final years, Betty White remained as fiery and fearless as ever—her humor, and that unforgettable line to Boreanaz, won’t soon be forgotten.

“Bones” ran from 2005 to 2017 and earned a loyal following during its 12-season run. At a panel commemorating its 20th anniversary, cast members not only reflected on cases and character arcs, but also the quirks and unscripted moments that made their time together unforgettable. Boreanaz’s story about Betty White highlights the memorable moments fans rarely see behind-the-scenes. It’s a memory that captures both White’s sharp spirit and the warm chemistry she inspired on set. Her passing in 2021 left a hole in Hollywood, as the iconic actress led a career that lasted over eight decades.
