James Eckhouse

It has been a long time since James Eckhouse played the role of Jim Walsh on “Beverly Hills, 90210.” Filming for the popular series ended in 2000, after ten seasons, but Eckhouse left the show after its fifth season. It has been 20 years since his time on 90210 ended, but he still looks good!

Fans of the series have continued to keep tabs on some of the stars to find out what they have been up to over the years. Eckhouse, 70, has kept a relatively low profile. However, he recently made headlines when he stepped out in Los Angeles. He looks visibly different from his time on the show.

Daily Mail reports that Eckhouse is “rarely seen in public,” but he was recently photographed as he walked away from his car during an outing in Los Angeles. He can be seen wearing a casual outfit, consisting of a T-shirt, black sweatpants, and trainers. The photos can be seen here.

Although Eckhouse prefers to keep a private life, he featured in a video earlier this year with Gus Heagerty. The short clip, posted on Instagram on May 6, shows the two of them next to each other in the back seat of a car. “He’s a TV dad to so many, but he’s always my uncle,” the caption reads.

The pair playfully discuss Eckhouse getting new followers in the video, and he makes the statement that he gets “a lot of people in Home Depot” who recognise him. Fans reacted to the post with messages including, “Personally, I’m desperate to be recognized at Home Depot,” and “Wait…Brenda and Brandon Walsh are your cousins???!?! How exciting for all of us!”

Fans will recall that Eckhouse’s character, Jim, was the father of Brandon Walsh (played by Jason Priestley) and Brenda Walsh (played by Shannen Doherty). Eckhouse is not particularly active on social media, but he mourned Doherty in an Instagram post on July 15, 2024. He shared a throwback photo of them posing together, with his arm lovingly wrapped around her shoulders.

”Such a loss. She was ferocious in her work, ferocious in her love, ferocious in her long courageous battle with cancer. Shannen, we will miss you dearly…” he wrote in the caption.

On the first anniversary of Doherty’s passing, fans commented on Eckhouse’s post again. The comment section is filled with messages of love and remembrance. “Rest well sweet Shannen we love and miss you,” a fan wrote. “Hurts one year later,” another shared.
