The Beyhive are convinced they’ve worked out the name of Beyonce’s rumoured new tour, however, there is more to it than meets the eye.

The Formation singer, 43, delivered a show-stopping performance during the NFL halftime show on Christmas Day filled with a host of hits from her latest album Cowboy Carter. It was very much a homecoming show for Beyonce as she entertained fans and football lovers alike in her native Houston, Texas.

Moments after the broadcast aired live on Netflix, Beyonce’s social media teased an announcement that would arrive on January 14, 2025. In a brief video, the music icon swings a large US flag around while sitting on a horse before the date ‘1.14.25’ appears in an edgy red font, which many have used to back up their long-running theory that she’ll release a rock album next.

Rumours have also circulated for some time that Beyonce’s next set of shows will be named The Betty Black Tour, and suspicions have only been fuelled by a new discovery.

When typing in the URL bettyblacktour.com, it redirects straight to Beyonce’s official website beyonce.com.

Naturally, this has led fans to believe she will announce The Betty Black tour alongside the third album in her current trilogy next month. However, any excitement was quickly shattered when some eagle-eyed fans noticed that an unknown person had bought the bettyblacktour.com domain and made sure it redirected to Beyonce’s website likely to stir up the speculation.

Even if the website trick is a hoax, there have been other clues that do point to Betty Black being Act III.

A fictional newspaper clipping featured in promo material during the Renaissance era reads: ‘The Betty Black tour. Sold out.’ Readers are directed to page 14 of the newspaper which could point to a tour being announced on January 14.

She also dressed up as funk, R&B and rock singer Betty Davis for Halloween this year, replicating the legendary singer’s look on the cover of her album This Is It. Betty, who was married to jazz pioneer Miles Davis, was known for embracing her sexuality and channelling Tina Turner’s energy which has also been said of Beyonce over the years.

Beyonce began her trilogy series in 2022 with Renaissance, Act I,  and then followed up with 2024’s Cowboy Carter, Act II.

Her NFL halftime show was the first time she had performed tracks from Cowboy Carter live and, it’s safe to say, she took everyone to the Texas rodeo with songs including 16 Carriages, Blackbird and Texas Hold ‘Em. She was joined by Post Malone, Shaboozey, prominent Black country singers such as Tanner Adell and Brittney Spencer, and even her 12-year-old daughter Blue Ivy

Beyonce’s announcement will drop on January 14, 2025 while Beyonce Bowl is available to stream on Netflix now.
