Big Brother contestant drops ‘biggest bombshell’ he’s married and has a child with his cousin

GANI, 39 SOUTH LONDON, PIZZA SHOP MANAGER image.png Why did you apply to be on this new series of Big Brother? I?d like to be known by millions. I see this as an opportunity not only for my personal growth, but also to help build the future of my personal brand. And on a personal level, being without a phone will be an impressive psychological experiment ? one that I believe will teach me even more about myself. What do you think you?ll bring to the House? I am energy. I've been told that wherever I go there is a light; the atmosphere totally changes. I'll definitely bring the happy vibe to the House. What are you looking forward to the most about being a Housemate? I want to enjoy the experience throughout the journey and win the money. Do you have a strategy for making it to the final? I don?t think so. I think the best strategy is to just be myself. Being myself will take me far. What are you most likely to get nominated for? I?ve never really thought about it. Sometimes if I find something annoying, I will speak my mind - but in the nicest possible way. When I?m triggered, I can raise my voice, and the other housemates may think that I'm being rude. It?ll either be that or that I?m speaking too much. Tell us one thing about yourself you think will surprise people the most. Everyone who sees my social media thinks I have a very quiet attitude, which they say comes across as possibly arrogant. But when they actually meet me, they quickly change their minds and realise I?m quite lovely. What would you do with the money if you won? I have got a plan. When I win the money, I?ll separate it into three portions. One goes for financial stability, one goes to my business and one goes to a deposit for a house. And then I will look to give some money to charity. ENDS

Big Brother viewers were shocked by tonight’s episode as Gani revealed that he has a wife and baby at home.

During Thursday night’s episode, contestants Gani and Jenny were chatting about their personal lives when Gani made a surprising confession.

The star first introduced himself as a Pizza Hut manager from Bromley who loved Dua Lipa and had been exploring his bisexuality in recent years.

In his video introduction in the first episode, he proudly told viewers: ‘I explored the sexuality of bi’ and said he had found himself in recent years.

While chatting to the Derry cast member in the latest episode, he revealed that he actually got married in 2022 to his cousin, and had a baby son who was 10 months old at home.

He added that the marriage was something that was arranged by his father and not something he’d have picked.

This surprised a lot of viewers who were left with their jaws on the floor after the ‘crazy lore drop’ from the star.

‘So confused by this new Gani lore, why would he not mention his WIFE AND CHILD in his VT?! He’s mentioned Dua Lipa more than his SON #BBUK,’ said JoeWritesThings.

Some fans pointed out that in other cultures, marrying cousins is far more common, and the term cousin could mean a wide variety of relations.

‘The way it’s normal in Indian and Pakistani culture etc,’ said slayingfashion5 in response to a surprised post.

Gani has been put up for eviction, as has fellow contestant Zelah, meaning one of them will be going home on Friday.

25-year-old personal trainer Zelah has already managed to capture the hearts of British audiences, after opening up about his trans journey.

In a recent episode, he was chatting to Sam about being a lesbian for several years before coming out as trans.

‘My girlfriend and I were in a lesbian relationship for a while and that was her first ever relationship… I was a lesbian for eight years.

‘I went from a lesbian to a man, like, downgrade,’ he joked.

The public praised him and many have suggested that they are determined to save him over Gani. That said, this revelation from Gani about his home life may have changed things.

‘I really like Zelah but I’m not opposed to Gani staying and hearing far more about this marriage and the rest of his life story. A really interesting housemate. #BBUK,’ said tuaisceartach.

‘Married to his cousin? Bisexual? Involved in the drama?! Ugh there is SO much more to Gani it’s SUCH a shame that he’s most likely going home tomorrow – and he wasn’t even properly nominated🤦🏻‍♂️ #BBUK,’ said Raph176.

Big Brother is available to stream on ITVX with new episodes released on ITV2 at 9pm.
