Big Brother fans have been left ‘genuinely shocked’ after Caroline’s revelation that she is friends with the Reform leader, Nigel Farage.

Caroline revealed that she’s ‘quite good friends’ with Farage and he’s ‘quite a good bloke’ during Wednesday night’s episode of the show.

She said that she ‘went to a funeral with him the other day’ and they sat in a car together, adding that she agreed with some of his political ideas.

Her comments quieted the group of contestants surrounding her, and she soon found herself with Teja asking her questions, which she avoided by leaving George to take on the reform stance in an argument with the youngest contestant, Teja, 18.

‘Caroline I liked you so much but this isn’t it #BBUK,’ said biimleaving.

‘Sorry but I am genuinely shocked at Caroline. She basically a stereotypical neighbour/colleague who is super nice to your face but are reform voters and secretly doesn’t like you. #bbuk,’ said CHXN3L.

‘i can’t see caroline the same after knowing she’s friends with nigel farage #bbuk,’ said ninthdctr.

‘Caroline, I had high hopes for you.. besties with Nigel Farage?? smh. #BBUK,’ said mayieesha.

After the first couple of episodes in the series, Caroline was a standout contestant who received a huge amount of praise from fans.

When Caroline faced eviction in the second episode, Sam was dubbed a hero for rescuing her instead of vocal Tory supporter Emily. But the tides seem to be changing for her.

In the Late and Live show, Danny Beard pointed out that supporting Farage might alienate her in the house with those who are trans or people of colour.

Teja received a huge amount of support from viewers who were impressed by her ability to articulate why she didn’t support Reform and her opinions about immigration.

‘Teja, an 18 year old, reading Caroline for absolute FILTH omg 😭😭😭 I love her #BBUK,’ said cqmerqn.

‘Teja being youngest housemate in there but articulating that argument SO BLOODY WELL omfg what a queen!!!!! “nobody’s illegal I was just lucky enough to be born here” #BBUK,’ said superTV247.

‘teja you have just been promoted to my winner #BBUK,’ said folklorematthew.

In the latest episode, the four new contestants were challenged to put a second contestant up for eviction.

After some debate, Richard, Cameron B, Feyisola, and George were apologetic and decided that Gani would be the next star to join Zelah on the chopping block.

The group explained that they felt that Gani was making people feel ‘on edge’ when he was singing and dancing around the garden, and ‘wasn’t everyone’s cup of tea.’

GANI, 39 SOUTH LONDON, PIZZA SHOP MANAGER image.png Why did you apply to be on this new series of Big Brother? I?d like to be known by millions. I see this as an opportunity not only for my personal growth, but also to help build the future of my personal brand. And on a personal level, being without a phone will be an impressive psychological experiment ? one that I believe will teach me even more about myself. What do you think you?ll bring to the House? I am energy. I've been told that wherever I go there is a light; the atmosphere totally changes. I'll definitely bring the happy vibe to the House. What are you looking forward to the most about being a Housemate? I want to enjoy the experience throughout the journey and win the money. Do you have a strategy for making it to the final? I don?t think so. I think the best strategy is to just be myself. Being myself will take me far. What are you most likely to get nominated for? I?ve never really thought about it. Sometimes if I find something annoying, I will speak my mind - but in the nicest possible way. When I?m triggered, I can raise my voice, and the other housemates may think that I'm being rude. It?ll either be that or that I?m speaking too much. Tell us one thing about yourself you think will surprise people the most. Everyone who sees my social media thinks I have a very quiet attitude, which they say comes across as possibly arrogant. But when they actually meet me, they quickly change their minds and realise I?m quite lovely. What would you do with the money if you won? I have got a plan. When I win the money, I?ll separate it into three portions. One goes for financial stability, one goes to my business and one goes to a deposit for a house. And then I will look to give some money to charity. ENDS

The series has struck a chord with fans since it’s launch show on Sunday. Viewers have praised a transgender contestant Zelah, for opening up about his transition with his fellow co-stars.

During Tuesday’s episode, when a number of the housemates enjoyed a dip in the hot tub, Zelah also opened up about feeling ‘self-conscious’ because of the visible scars on his chest in the Diary Room.

He then spoke about his gender identity and about being bullied at school and a time when he was kicked out of a nightclub after using the toilets – when he was still identifying as a woman.

The show has also been praised for reinventing the series, by introducing new voting twists and changing up how the audience participates.
