On Wednesday, <a href=”https://deadline.com/2025/10/bmf-canceled-starz-1236601530/” target=”_blank” rel=”noreferrer noopener”>Deadline reported that Starz has canceled BMF after four seasons. Rapper 50 Cent, who is an executive producer of the show, reacted to the news with some of his signature trolling, taking aim at one of BMF’s stars in an Instagram post.

BMF is an inspired-by-real-life drama that tells the story of the Black Mafia Family, a criminal syndicate led by brothers Demetrius “Big Meech” Flenory and Terry “Southwest T” Flenory. Big Meech is played by his son, Demetrius Flenory Jr., aka “Lil Meech.” Da’Vinci plays Southwest T.

In recent months, 50 Cent has been feuding with both Big Meech and Flenory Jr. Those tense relationships led to “anxiety” on set, Deadline reports, though the decision to cancel the show was a financial one.

Rather than mourn the end of BMF, 50 Cent seemed to celebrate the news. He took the cancellation announcement as an opportunity to troll Flenory Jr. On Wednesday, he posted a photo of the actor on Instagram holding an “out of work” sign. “What next season,” he wrote in the caption.

“I am deeply concerned by the widespread assumption that I had any involvement in the recent cancellation of BMF. I intend to thoroughly investigate this matter to understand exactly how and why it occurred Thank you,” he captioned another <a href=”https://www.instagram.com/p/DQZ6e9ojv-M/?hl=en” target=”_blank” rel=”noreferrer noopener”>post, which included an image of Lil Meech panhandling while holding a sign that read “for food.”

The beef between 50 Cent and Lil Meech began when the rapper accused Big Meech of being a federal informant, a charge Flenory has denied. Then, when Big Meech was released from prison in 2024, he tapped Rick Ross to perform at his welcome home concert. That didn’t sit well with 50 Cent, who proceeded to call out both father and son in a series of social media posts.

While BMF is done, 50 Cent’s relationship with Starz is thriving. The cable network is continuing to expand the Power franchise, on which he’s an executive producer. Power Book IV: Force Season 3 premieres November 7, and a new spinoff, Power: Origins, is on the horizon. There have also been talks about additional BMF shows. In addition, Starz has greenlit Fightland, a new drama produced by 50 Cent and set in the high-stakes world of British boxing.
