Brad Pitt has had an excellent 2025 on the professional front as his latest film, “F1: The Movie,” hit theaters in June. However, he has had personal struggles as his mother passed away, and someone broke into his Los Angeles home. Now, reports indicate that he’s moving forward with selling the house.

According to TMZ, Pitt has been planning to sell the home, which he bought for $5.5 million, since before the burglary happened. Apparently, the house is in escrow and is also part of an off-market deal. There was also considerable interest in the three-bedroom home, so things should progress quickly.

Pitt bought the home, known as “The Steel House,” from Aileen Getty in 2019 for a reported $5.5 million. Notably, she had purchased it in 2019 from James Valentine, who is a member of Maroon 5. The house dates back to 1960.

The Break-in at Pitt’s Home Happened as He was Promoting ‘F1: The Movie”

According to NBC News, the break-in at Pitt’s home occurred on June 26. Notably, this was as he was on the promotional trail for “F1: The Movie.” The report states that the robbers climbed over a fence and then broke a window to gain entry.

Once inside Pitt’s home, the intruders ransacked the property. They were able to steal various items, but as of August 12, it’s unclear what they took with them. Since then, the police have made arrests, a process that was aided by Pitt’s security system at the property. Four people were taken into custody, and they were said to be related to other area break-ins.
