‘Brave Single Mom of 2’: Tributes Pour In After Beloved TikTok Influencer Passes Away at 28

TikTok influencer Jacinda Jenkins has died at the age of 28. Her mother, Emily Kocik, shared the devastating news in an emotional TikTok video on October 1. “This is absolutely the worst thing I’ve ever had to do,” Kocik said. “I just want everybody to remember her for the person that she was — her big heart, her kindness, willing to help anybody out, even when she was struggling.”

Kocik did not share further details about the circumstances of Jenkins’ death, though an obituary from Cooper Funeral Home described it as “sudden.”

Remembered for Her Kindness & Authenticity

Kocik asked that her daughter be remembered for her spirit and kindness. “She was unequivocally herself all the time, and that’s one of the things that made her absolutely wonderful,” she said. “If we can just remember her for who she was … just all the good things about her.”

Her obituary further honored her legacy, calling Jenkins “more than a content creator” and praising her as “a voice for those who often go unheard, a cheerleader for the weary, and a light for those navigating their own complicated journeys.”

A Mom, Entrepreneur & Content Creator

With more than 200,000 TikTok followers, Jenkins connected with fans through lifestyle and fashion videos. She also operated Harper’s Haven Boutique, a shop named after her daughter, Harper, where she sold custom T-shirts and apparel on Etsy and Shopify.

Along with Harper, Jenkins was also mom to her young son, Dax. Her last TikTok post offered a heartfelt snapshot of her life as a single mom of two.

Fans & Loved Ones Pay Tribute

Friends, family, and fans poured their love into the funeral home’s online guest book, leaving heartfelt tributes to Jenkins’ memory. “You inspired so many of us to be who we were meant to be in our small businesses, and your passing has really affected me this past week,” one person wrote. Another added, “I looked up to J so, so much, and she will be extremely missed. Fly high, grateful for the friendship we had through social media.”

Her mother, Emily Kocik, said the loss has been devastating for those closest to her. “We’ve struggled. This has been awful, just absolutely awful,” she shared. “She was my only daughter. She was my only kid, and now I don’t have her at all.”

The family shared that a private service will be held for close friends and loved ones, followed by a celebration of life to honor Jenkins’ legacy.
