The tributes for Malcolm-Jamal Warner continue to pour in after it was reported that âThe Cosby Showâ star had died on July 20. One of the people who honored him was âDancing with the Starsâ alum Brian Austin Green.
Brian Austin Green Reflects on How Nice Malcolm-Jamal Warner Was
There have been many tributes for Warner, but one of the recurring comments is how kind and nice he was. This is a sentiment that the âBeverly Hills, 90210â actor shared. Green posted a picture of Warner on his Instagram Story on July 20. In the text overlay, he shared his thoughts.
âOne of the nicest people I was ever honored enough to know,â Green wrote. âMy heart goes out to your family.â He ended the post with a heartbreak emoji.
Although it is not immediately clear how Green and Warner knew each other or the depth of their friendship, they were both prominent stars in the early 1990s. Warner is celebrated for his role as Theo Huxtable on “The Cosby Show,” which aired from 1984 to 1992, and Green is remembered for his work on âBeverly Hills, 90210,â which first aired in 1990 and ran for 10 seasons until 2000.
The Entertainment Industry Mourns Malcolm-Jamal Warner
Green is one of many stars who have reacted to Warnerâs passing, praising him for the tremendous impact he had on the entertainment industry, as well as for his kindness and niceness. Other celebrities’ tributes include one from Alfonso Ribeiro, who posted two photos of Warner on Instagram and penned an emotional post saying goodbye to his friend. âYouâve always held a very special place in my heart,â he wrote, noting how he had kept tabs on his fellow actorâs career and how much he would miss him.
Also reacting to Warnerâs death was his onscreen wife, Tracee Ellis Ross, who starred alongside him in the sitcom, âReed Between The Lines.â The series aired for two seasons and 33 episodes.
Ross paid tribute to her former co-star with a heartbreaking message. âI love you, Malcolm. First I met you as Theo with the rest of the world then you were my first TV husband,â she wrote. âMy heart is so so sad. What an actor and friend you were: warm, gentle, present, kind, thoughtful, deep, funny, elegant. You made the world a brighter place. Sending so much love to your family. Iâm so sorry for this unimaginable loss.â
