Bring Me The Horizon’s set at Reading Festival has left fans shocked after one woman ‘grabbed’ lead singer Oli Sykes and tried to kiss him.
During their hit song Drown, Oli, 38, headed into the crowd with a hand-held video camera to interact with emotional fans at the barrier.
As he walked along, he hugged and posed for selfies with the crowd who were frantically trying to get his attention, even for a split second.
However, one woman took things too far, according to others online, as she grabbed hold of the Brit Award winner and kissed him on the face.
The clip aired on the BBC’s coverage of the festival, which ran across the weekend in both Reading and Leeds with BMTH, Chappell Roan and Hozier performing.
Minutes before the end of the hour-long set, Oli leaned over the barrier to interact with the crowd, and the unknown woman put her arm around him.

The Sleepwalking singer fell into the crowd slightly, with his body bent over the barrier awkwardly as the woman held him to her and went in for a kiss.
She aimed towards his face, before planting the kiss just above his eye as he asked into the microphone, ‘Are you lot ready to go?’
Oli appeared a little surprised, laughing slightly as he tried to free himself from the grasp of the crowd, immediately heading back to the stage.
The camera was reportedly taken from him, with chaotic floor footage shown on the screen before it was cut off.
According to one fan in the comments of a TikTok showing the interaction, the woman repeatedly called him, ‘My baby’.

While Bring Me The Horizon declined to comment on the incident when asked by Metro, fans online have had a lot to say.
‘Omg, she literally grabbed him, he wasn’t going to stop there! You couldn’t see that part on the screen!’ commented Rachael Webber on siwarm01’s TikTok.
‘The way he had to duck down and out to get out of her grip 🤦🏼♀️,’ added Amy in response to Ellie commenting vomiting emojis at her ‘grabbing him’.
User Inkedwitxh_ posted an almost four minute video addressed ‘to the girl that imprisoned Oli’, in which she discussed boundaries.
‘What are you doing?’ she asked. ‘You can visibly see that the man was uncomfortable.
‘Regardless of whether Oli is a married man or not, no matter how much you idolise someone, you do not imprison them and try to grab their face and kiss them on the lips.’
In the footage seen, the woman doesn’t appear to grab his face with her hands, although the singer is unable to dodge the kiss.

Inkedwitxh called it ‘disrespectful’ and ‘outrageous’ behaviour, a sentiment people in her comments agreed with.
‘I was shocked when I saw that, THAT IS NOT OKAY,’ commented Laura Naumavičiūtė as natijan said they were ‘mortified watching it’.
DownloadMammy added: ‘I watched from the back and was like girl BOUNDARIES! He’s a human at the end of the day, we don’t touch people without consent 💀.’
He came over and hugged me at the Reading show,’ said CopyKat93. ‘I was so shocked that I completely froze! I could never imagine kissing him, wildly inappropriate!!!’
Oli regularly leaves the stage to interact with fans during shows, often hugging and (consensually) kissing them on the cheek.
In 2007, the Kingslayer singer was even accused of urinating on a fan, but the court case was dropped for lack of evidence.
Bring Me The Horizon fans have been left wondering if Oli will stop greeting them at the barrier at future gigs after this incident.
Metro reached out to Reading Festival for comment.
