Britain’s Got Talent got a real fright when one auditionee fell off the stage in front of the live audience.

It’s far from the first time BGT has seen a performer take a tumble—trips and falls are actually quite often staged as a way of keeping the crowd on their toes.

This time, however, the hopeful’s mighty fall definitely wasn’t planned.

Manho Han, a 33-year-old magician, flew from South Korea to showcase his talents to Simon Cowell, Amanda Holden, Alesha Dixon, and guest judge KSI as the auditions aired for one final time this year.

As his act got underway, he revealed himself to be a master of quick change, holding up magazines with photos of various accessories, which he then added to his own outfit.

At one point, he grabbed some new shoes from a box and held them in the air.

As he did so, though, he edged a little too close to the edge and unexpectedly plummeted to the floor, crashing into the camera.

The theatre filled with gasps, with Alesha visibly shaken as her jaw fell open.

Amanda also rose from her seat instinctively as KSI said: ‘I can’t believe that’s just happened.’

‘You OK?’, Alesha asked as the auditionee climbed back up.

‘I feel really sorry for him now,’ she added.

Thankfully, Manho was able to finish his routine without any further disasters, having seemingly won the crowd over with his resilience.

Taking to X while watching along at home, viewers were stunned that the fall wasn’t part of Manho’s act.

‘His attention to detail obviously wasn’t that great…he fell off the stage!’, @GazWallace402 wrote about the magician.

‘Did I really just see a magician fall off the stage?’, laughed @martyn0204.

‘Oh dear. This magician was going great until he fell off stage’, cringed @Gm4nHere.

‘I wonder if he meant to fall off the stage so he could change the shoes. Either way nobody went to help him!’, commented @humbug83, questioning whether it was a trick disguised as a disaster.

However, Manho was still wearing the same shoes he started in when he got back up.

After Manho received a standing ovation and soaked up the rapturous applause from the auditorium, Amanda said in her feedback: ‘Manho, first of all, can I say, what an absolute professional. You carried on!’

She praised his ‘unique’ idea and said the panel had never seen a quick change artist so ‘cool’ or ‘slick’.

‘I’m very excited to see what you come up with next,’ added KSI.

‘However, the fact that it went wrong sort of made the act better,’ Simon quipped.

‘Things do go wrong, and that happens in life!’

Maho received four yeses from the judges, sending him sailing through to the next round.

Britain’s Got Talent continues next Saturday on ITV1 and ITVX.
