Almost two years ago Britney Spears shocked the world with her tell-all memoir – now her ex-husband Kevin Federline is telling his story.
Titled You Thought You Knew, he promised this will be an ‘extremely intimate and transparent’ look at his life.
While it’s unknown how much the 47-year-old star will be able to share of his life with Britney, 43, he revealed that ‘crushing heartbreak’ will feature.
The dancer, who was with the pop icon between 2004 and 2007, will drop his book three days before the second anniversary of The Woman In Me.
‘I achieved my biggest dreams, dealt with crushing heartbreak, and endured constant ridicule, all while becoming the father my children needed as they experienced nonstop emotional turbulence,’ Kevin said.
‘If you’ve ever had questions, you’ll find answers here.’

Set for release on October 21, 2025, through a new audio imprint Listenin, the memoir will be one of the platform’s first offerings.
Billed as a ‘deeply personal and emotionally grounded’ account of his life, it’s anticipated that he will open up about co-parenting with the Circus hitmaker.
The former couple share sons Sean Preston, 19, and Jayden James, 18, who Britney reunited with in June.
Jayden and Sean both moved in with their father in Hawaii in 2023 and have slowly been repairing their relationship with their mum ever since, including spending an emotional Christmas together last year.

‘I haven’t seen my boys in 2 years!!! Tears of joy and literally in shock everyday… koo koo crazy so in love and blessed!!!’ she praised at the time.
Jaren Hayman, the founder of Barracuda Baby Productions, was thrilled to have worked with Kevin on the project.
Jaren said: ‘We’re proud to have Kevin as the first of our three books launching with Listenin.
‘He spent two years in every tabloid and two decades navigating a volatile, ever-changing reality — choosing silence to protect his kids. That silence left scars.

‘Listenin was built for real voices telling real stories, and sharing Kevin’s after everything said about him means a lot to us. I am excited for the world to get to meet the real Kevin Federline.’
The October release date may raise some eyebrows in Britney’s dedicated fanbase as it mirrors when she released her own bombshell memoir.
Britney, who is one of the best-selling pop stars of all time, described her book as a ‘labour of love’ after being released from her 13-year conservatorship.
The chart-topping star told People at the time: ‘Reliving everything has been exciting, heart-wrenching, and emotional, to say the least. For those reasons, I will only be reading a small part of my audiobook.’

It left no stone unturned with revelations about her time in the spotlight, including her infamous romance with Justin Timberlake from 1999 to 2002.
She accused him of pressuring her into having an abortion, cheating on her ‘multiple’ times, and intentionally painting her as the villain in the wake of their high-profile break-up.
Who could forget that Cry Me A River music video with a suspiciously blonde love interest who brutally breaks his heart?
Justin, 43, then hit back at his ex while performing shortly after the memoir was released, saying into the mic between songs, ‘I’d like to apologise to…absolutely nobody!’
