Still, she won’t let her father’s death change her narrative. The former TV personality recently called out members of Hogan’s team for planting lies about their relationship in the media. <p id=”par-5_121″>Brooke told TMZ that she did not receive any gifts, nor did she send them back. She claims she never received any text messages or phone calls from the wrestling great. She says she didn’t turn down any plans to meet up with her family in recent years, either. In fact, she claims the opposite is true, and her husband, Steven Oleksy, is backing her up. Brooke has one theory about why a false narrative would be created. She says people in her father’s “camp” might be afraid of what she knows, so they are trying to make her look bad. She said she is willing to get a lawyer if it is needed, so his camp should probably quiet down.</p>

<p id=”par-6_119″>Brooke didn’t just have a complicated relationship with her father. She is also estranged from her mother, Linda Hogan. While<a href=”https://www.cheatsheet.com/news/hulk-hogans-messy-divorce-cost-him-a-fortune.html/”> Linda and Hulk Hogan</a> were married for decades, they split in the early 2000s, with Hulk remarrying twice. Over the years, there have been plenty of rumors about Brooke Hogan’s decision to put distance between herself and her parents. Most rumors suggest the relationship became strained around the time of Linda and Hulk Hogan’s split. Both moved on to new, much younger partners. Brooke Hogan’s husband, Steven Oleksy, recently spoke to <a href=”https://people.com/brooke-hogan-issues-with-hulk-hogan-nothing-to-do-with-his-third-wife-sky-exclusive-11783648#:~:text=It%20had%20to%20do%20with,her%2C%22%20says%20her%20husband.”>People</a> about the strained relationship. He explained exactly when his wife decided enough was enough. Oleksy says Hulk’s much younger bride had nothing to do with the estrangement.</p>

Oleksy said he was open to it and spoke to Hulk Hogan on several occasions. The end of the father-daughter relationship came when Hulk Hogan declined the chance to walk his only daughter down the aisle. Oleksy said the former professional wrestler stated that he no longer attended weddings. He did not attend their nuptials. He married the following year and was present when his son, Nick Hogan, got married earlier this year.</p>
