The private funeral for Hulk Hogan took place on July 30 at Indian Rocks Baptist Church in Largo, Florida, just miles from his Clearwater home. A hearse carrying the WWE icon arrived at the church as mourners, including Triple H, Stephanie McMahon, Kid Rock, and comedian Theo Von, gathered to pay their respects.
As per photos posted by PageSix, Hulk’s pallbearers wore yellow rose lapel pins in a subtle yet powerful nod to Hoganâs signature ring colors.
Medical Records Reveal Hogan’s Private Health Struggles
As per TMZ, Hogan, born Terry Bollea, died from cardiac arrest on July 24. Medical records later confirmed he had been battling chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL), a slow-growing cancer of the blood and bone marrow, along with atrial fibrillation. He had also undergone more than 25 surgeries over the past decade, including back, knee, and hip procedures.
His wife, Sky Daily, shared an emotional message after his passing: “To the world, he was a legend⦠but to me, he was my Terry.”
How Florida Honored Legend Hulk Hogan
Florida Governor Ron DeSantis has officially declared August 1 as Hulk Hogan Day in memory of the late WWE icon, who died on July 24 at the age of 71 following a heart attack at his Clearwater home.
As part of the tribute, DeSantis ordered all U.S. and state flags in Florida to fly at half-staff. âHis larger-than-life personality will be missed,â the governor said in a statement, describing Hogan as âan icon for many who grew up in the ’80s and ’90s as well as today. He was a true Floridian through and through.â
Hoganâs wife, Sky Hogan, shared a heartfelt message on Instagram thanking DeSantis and fans for their continued support during her grief.
âTerry would have been so honored! Thank you, Governor Ron DeSantis, for declaring today Hulk Hogan Day in Florida,â she wrote.
âIâm still not ready to leave home yet, so if you spot any flags flying at half-mast, please send me a photo â it would mean so much. Your HH tributes, condolences, shared memories, and shared tears have brought me so much comfort.â
