At the time, she reportedly expressed concerns about people surrounding Hulk and made the choice to avoid future legal conflict. “All Brooke ever really wanted was to protect her dad from people she felt were taking advantage of him,” the source told the outlet.

Though she will not inherit any portion of Hulk Hogan’s estate, Brooke is named as a beneficiary in a small life insurance policy. She plans to put the funds toward her children’s college education, sources say.

Rumors of a rift between Brooke and Hulk first sparked in September 2023 after she did not attend her father’s wedding when he married his third wife, Sky Daily, according to FOX News.

Brooke Shares Heartfelt Tribute After Father’s Passing

On July 24, Hulk Hogan — born Terry Gene Bollea — died at age 71 following a cardiac event at his Florida home. In an emotional Instagram post shared days later, Brooke Hogan, 37, addressed the public for the first time since his passing.

“My dad’s blood runs through my veins. His eyes shine through my children. And our bond has never broken, not even in his final moments,” Brooke wrote.

“We had a connection deeper than words, one that spanned lifetimes,” she continued. “I am so grateful I knew the real version of him. Not just the one the world viewed through a carefully curated lens.”

Brooke also responded to speculation surrounding her estrangement from Hulk in his final years. “We never had a ‘big fight,’” she explained. “It was a series of private phone calls no one will ever hear, know, or understand.”

Protecting Her Heart

Brooke shared that she and her husband, former NHL player Steven Olesky, relocated to Florida in an attempt to support Hulk during his health struggles. However, she recalled feeling shut out. “It was like there was a force field around him that I couldn’t get through,” she wrote.

“During the last two years, I had to step away to protect my heart,” she added, though she noted that Olesky continued to reach out to Hulk on her behalf, in hopes of reconciliation.

Despite the emotional distance, Brooke expressed peace with her choices and pride in her relationship with her father. “I know in my heart I did everything I could. He knew I would run through a burning building for him,” she wrote.

“All I ever truly wanted from my father was love, honesty, and a deep connection,” she added. “And for a few special years, I had that—with memories that will last a lifetime.”

Brooke and Hulk shared a public life through their VH1 reality series “Hogan Knows Best,” which aired from 2005 to 2007. Brooke later starred in the spin-off series “Brooke Knows Best” from 2008 to 2009.
