Bruce Willis’ daughter, Tallulah Willis, recently posted an update about her father on Instagram after he visited her grandmother. Notably, the actor keeps a relatively low profile these days as he’s living with frontotemporal dementia. Many fans were happy to see new photos of Bruce, but some have called Tallulah out for sharing the images.Â
Now, Tallulah Willis has responded to the criticism from fans, explaining why she decided to make the post. Of course, as mentioned, the criticism was relatively minor in comparison to the people who welcomed a Bruce Willis update.Â
Tallulah Willis Defends the Decision to Share Images of Her Dad
According to Page Six, at least one fan commented on the pictures of Bruce Willis that Tallulah posted with disdain. The person said, “I donât think you should expose your dad to the public! He is vulnerable, and some things should be kept private! You donât have his permission to post it!”
In response, Tallulah explained, “Hi. I hear that. As a family, we use our discretion when posting. Today was a great day filled with smiles.” She continued, “I made the judgment call to show that to the world, because I know what he means to everyone.”
Regarding the positive comments about the Bruce Willis update, one person said, “Thank you, beautiful girl. Itâs really generous to let us see these moments, because you know how much we love him, too.”
Another fan remarked, “As a dad, Iâm telling you that the hug you gave him was priceless.” Other people discussed how important it is for Tallulah and the rest of their family to share and show love to Bruce during this time. Others in the comments considered it educational in the sense that it helps others who have family members with the same diagnosis.Â
Bruce Willis Was First Diagnosed With Aphasia Before His Symptoms Worsened
According to the Association for Frontotemporal Degeneration, Bruce Willis and his family opened up about his battle with aphasia in 2022. However, by the following year, his symptoms had increased. This led to him being diagnosed with frontotemporal dementia.Â
As a result of his illness, Bruce Willis has essentially retired from acting. As mentioned, he very rarely makes public appearances. Still, Bruce made a point to thank the first responders who helped with the California wildfires earlier this year. Additionally, he was seen in May being driven around with his bodyguards.Â
