Buckingham Palace Won’t be Pulled Into ‘War of Words’ After Prince Harry’s Latest Outburst

It’s only been a few weeks since Prince Harry met with his father, King Charles, and already we’re hearing about what may have gone on behind closed doors that was supposed to stay within Palace walls.

It was thought that the monarch met with his son only after the duke agreed that the details of the meeting would remain private and nothing regarding the visit would be leaked to the media. But here we are, where tidbits have come out, and now Harry’s camp is responding to different things.

Since the royal family’s mantra is to stay silent instead of explaining and challenging what’s been put out there, they can’t be happy about Harry’s responses.

A report in <a href=”https://www.thesun.co.uk/royals/36845968/inside-harry-meeting-king-charles/” target=”_blank” rel=”noreferrer noopener”>The Sun claimed that the private tea between the king and prince at Clarence House had been “distinctly formal” and left Harry feeling more like an “official visitor” than a family member.

Instead of letting that go and just staying quiet, Harry’s reps fired back, saying the report is “categorically false” and any quotes attributed to the duke are “pure invention fed, one can only assume, by sources intent on sabotaging any reconciliation between father and son.”

Another insider close to Harry followed that up by telling the <a href=”https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-15142343/charles-perplexed-harrys-claims-meeting.html” target=”_blank” rel=”noreferrer noopener”>Daily Mail: “The relationship between the Duke and His Majesty The King is a matter for the two of them and the two of them only. The men in grey suits should stay out of it.”

The Palace was stunned that the Sussexes had their team putting such statements out there when nothing was supposed to be said at all. According to <a href=”https://www.thesun.co.uk/royals/36858980/prince-harry-conspiracy-outburst/” target=”_blank” rel=”noreferrer noopener”>The Sun, “Buckingham Palace is not being drawn into any transatlantic war of words after the riposte from Montecito, it is understood.”

Where this leaves the hopes of a true reconciliation between all parties at this time remains to be seen.
