There is a great deal of excitement for the second season of the “Wednesday” TV series on Netflix. Naturally, the cast from season one is back, but this time, Lady Gaga will be on the show in a small role on the Jenna Ortega-led show. Now, Catherine Zeta-Jones is opening up about what it was like to have the pop superstar and actress on set. 

According to Yahoo Entertainment, Catherine Zeta-Jones and Jenna Ortega recently spoke to Access Hollywood about the second season of the “Wednesday” TV series, which premieres on August 6. Lady Gaga was one of the topics that arose during the conversation. 

Catherine Zeta-Jones told the outlet, “To have a woman of that caliber within our environment, it’s so incredibly amazing.” She continued, “When I met her, she was humble, gracious, creative, collaborative and a woman who is just, eludes from her, greatness, without, she doesn’t know it.”

The iconic actress then said, “She’s just a wonderful, wonderful artist.” Jenna Ortega also sang the praises of the “Abracadabra” singer. She said, “A lot of the conversations that I had with her, she’s just obviously such a well of wisdom and information.”


Lady Gaga Will Play a Teacher In Season 2 of the ‘Wednesday’ TV Series

It was announced in 2024 that Lady Gaga would be joining the cast for the “Wednesday” TV series. According to a press release from Netflix, the singer will be “playing the mysterious and enigmatic Rosaline Rotwood, a legendary Nevermore teacher who crosses paths with Wednesday.”

Netflix announced this during the “Tudum 2025: The Live Event,” where Lady Gaga also performed. Notably, one of her performances from the event included a group of people portraying Wednesday Adams. One of them was Jenna Ortega. It’s unclear if Lady Gaga will appear in multiple episodes of the show or interact with Catherine Zeta-Jones’ character. 

As mentioned, “Wednesday” season two premieres on August 6. The second part of the season will begin on September 3. 


Tim Burton Recently Teased Another Project With the Singer

In addition to Catherine Zeta-Jones and Jenna Ortega, Tim Burton also had kind words for Lady Gaga. Notably, is has directed multiple episodes of the “Wednesday” TV series and is also the executive producer. 

According to Variety, he said, “She’s such an artist, and so for me, working with an artist is inspirational. But I felt that way about Joanna and Steve, who I’ve worked with before. These people come on this set, you see the whole crew kind of light up. It’s a beautiful thing to witness.”

He then teased an upcoming project with Lady Gaga, saying he’d “done something else with her.” When asked for more details and if they will work together again, he said, “No, I can’t. But I hope so.”

Regarding the project, it is rumored that Lady Gaga will soon release a deluxe version of her hot-selling “Mayhem” album. This new version is said to feature a song called “Dead Dance” with Tim Burton having directed the music video.
