Celebrity Big Brother viewers could not be more confused about the East Coast West Coast beef between Londoners, Patsy Palmer and Trisha Goddard.
The celebrity housemates seem to have clashed heads about their current home cities – Los Angeles and New York – as they nominated each other in Monday night’s episode of the ITV reality series.
In the diary room, Trisha, 67, explained: ‘My first nomination is Patsy. She, as a Brit, lived in LA. I’m from New York and LA people are kinda more all about the crystals and the vibes and all that.
‘New York people tend to be, generalisation, “let’s get it done, let’s not mess about.” As lovely and sweet as [Patsy] can be, maybe [she’s] just too fragile.’
The 52-year-old EastEnders actor, who played Bianca Jackson in the soap opera, moved to LA in 2014 where she lives in a stunning sea-front property in Malibu with her husband, Richard Merkell, and their three children; Fenton, 22, Emilia, 21, and Bertie, 12.
Meanwhile, the TV presenter – who has opened up about her life since her cancer diagnosis – moved to upstate New York in 2010.

It was a move made to stay away from the limelight as she told Hello!: ‘I couldn’t stay and be around what celebrities go through today. In America, I can run around, look a mess and not worry.’
Egging the newly-found beef on social media, Trisha shared a photo with Patsy from years ago, joking: ‘Fondly remembering a time before eviction nominations and East Coast-West Coast beefing.’
And fans are absolutely baffled by the contrived feud between the two born-and-bred Brits.
‘Deffo think Trisha is going. Utterly bizarre reason for nominating Patsy,’ @matthewmitt6 shared on X.
‘WTF is this fake LA/NY beef between Trish & Patsy. It’s SO bizarre,’ @jjfilmslive echoed.

‘Patsy and Trisha is the US Coastal turf war that you never knew you needed!’ @sohailshah wrote.
‘Im literally crying why is trisha hating on patsy for being from different parts of a country neither of them are even from,’ @theefagshah questioned.
‘Trisha nominating Patsy because she’s from LA, and not a New Yorker is sending me. You were both born in London ffs,’ @allie_thomos_94 said.
‘Trisha and Patsy are both from London why is Trisha going on about LA and New York people having crystals??,’ east_ agreed.
‘Trisha nominating Patsy because Patsy is from LA and Trisha is from New York and those types of people don’t get along? Despite the fact they are literally both FROM EAST LONDON?’ @supertv also pointed out.

‘Why are Trisha and Patsy beefing over which parts of America neither of them are from???’ @hellowitslevi added.
Trisha, Patsy and Jack P. Shepherd (for the second time) are all up for eviction after last night’s nominations.
Elsewhere, Hollywood star Mickey Rourke was booted out of the house after unacceptable behaviour in a confrontation with fellow housemate Chris Hughes during a pirate challenge.
It came after he received a warning for homophobic language towards JoJo Siwa and was heavily criticised by viewers for inappropriately looking at AJ Odudu on launch night.
His premature exit was a huge knock on his fee. Although he was initially rumoured to have been offered £500,000 for his appearance on the show, it’s reported he’ll only be paid 10%.
Celebrity Big Brother continues tonight at 9pm on ITV.
