- The duo, known from Celebrity Traitors, have already joked about reconciling and spoken about the importance of raising cancer awareness.

After a season of betrayal on Celebrity Traitors, Joe Marler and Nick Mohammed are burying the hatchet on the nation’s favourite sofa.
The almost-dream team captured everyone’s hearts as the frontrunning Faithful favourites until Nick stabbed Joe in the back in a last-minute twist of Biblical proportions.
Now, with the tragedy of the castle behind them, the newfound friends are reuniting for the Celebrity Gogglebox Stand Up To Cancer special on Friday to prove their bond is stronger than ever – and have a hoot for a good cause.
Joking that it ‘would be a great opportunity to finally stare [Nick] in the eye and ask why he gleefully betrayed me on national television’, the rugby star sincerely added he ‘wouldn’t want to do it with anyone else.’
Joe continued: ‘We had a mad old time on The Traitors, and somehow came out of it as actual mates… though I’ll be keeping one eye on him at all times, just in case.’
The Ted Lasso star was of a similar ethos, quipping that he thought: ‘”Great -finally an opportunity for him to apologise for making me believe he was a traitor.”
‘Joe still texts me about it every 20 minutes, so sitting on a sofa together, unnaturally close, felt like the safest way to rebuild our trust.’
Both passionate about raising money and awareness for cancer (and hopeful there will be no more shock betrayals with the TV remote in hand), Nick added: ‘Gogglebox is the purest of joys: friends, food, comfy sofa, and not a chalkboard or Claudia in sight.’
In the small clip announcing their casting, they confirmed the tentative reconciliation, so we can’t wait to see their healed friendship in full bloom on the show.
Stand Up to Cancer Tribute Mile
The special coincides with Stand Up To Cancer’s Tribute Mile in Leicester, where lanterns made by people who have lost loved ones to the disease will be lined up along the River Soar.
Headlined by Married at First Sight’s Mel Schilling, the ‘heartfelt tribute’made up of over 5,000 lanterns will be available to visit between Friday, December 12 and Sunday, December 14.
The pair join an already standout cast of famous faces for this year’s charity special, including Oscar-winning star Kieran Culkin and his wife Jazz Charton.
Not to mention Josh Hartnett and Tamsin Egerton.
The three fresh couples will join the usual round of celebrities, and fans have already made their absolute delight at the additions crystal clear.
Some have called it the ‘best booking on anything ever’, and there’s already been speculation whether they’ll make the Succession star watch his own show, or even his brother Macaulay’s iconic Christmas movie, Home Alone.
Otherwise, expect to see your usual favourites such as Nick Grimshaw, Hannah Waddingham and Tim Minchin and James Buckley – to name a few.
Celebrity Gogglebox’s Stand Up To Cancer special airs this Friday on Channel 4.
