
Tributes are pouring in after news broke that the WWE superstar Hulk Hogan passed away on Thursday, July 24.
TMZ Sports first reported that paramedics were called to the 71-year-old’s Florida home.
Celebrities soon began to share their experiences with what Hogan meant to them. Actor Sylvester Stallone shared an image of himself with Hogan as they filmed “Rocky III” in 1982.
“I had the pleasure of meeting this brilliant personality and showman when he was 26 years old. He was absolutely wonderful and his amazing skill made Rocky three incredibly special,” he wrote.
He added how his “heart breaks” since he heard the news.
Mario Lopez Recalls Being Starstruck
Mario Lopez shared an image with the late icon and two of his children. He reminisced about his experience with meeting Hogan.
“Grew up running wild like a true Hulkamaniac. The only celebrity Iâve ever been truly starstruck by when I met,” he noted. “Hearing about Hulk Hoganâs passing hits deep â feels like a piece of my childhood is gone. The bandana, the flex, the leg drop, the larger-than-life energy⦠he was the superhero for so many of us.”
Actress Brooke Shields shared an image as she arm wrestled Hogan while comedian Kathy Griffin was in the background. Hogan was a guest star on an episode of her ’90s sitcom “Suddenly Susan.”
“Rest easy, Hulk,” Shields wrote. “This moment and his entire guest episode on âSuddenly Susanâ was a true highlight. Sending love to all of his loved ones today.” She closed her message with a black heart emoji.

The former chairman of WWE, Vince McMahon, shared a touching post on social media.
“The world lost a treasure today. Hulk Hogan was the greatest WWE Superstar of all time, someone who was loved and admired around the world,” McMahon wrote. “He was a trailblazer, the first performer who transitioned from being a wrestling star into a global phenomenon.”
McMahon praised how “His grit and unbridled thirst for success were unparalleled — and made him the consummate performer.”
WWE legend Ric Flair shared a heartbreaking Instagram post in honor of his late friend.
“I Am Absolutely Shocked To Hear About The Passing Of My Close Friend @hulkhogan! Hulk Has Been By My Side Since We Started In The Wrestling Business,” he shared. “An Incredible Athlete, Talent, Friend, And Father! Our Friendship Has Meant The World To Me.”
Ric Flair also appeared on TMZ Live where he broke down in tears as he talked about Hogan.
