Asim, 38, previously spoke about Person Of Interest which he described as a Neo-noir inspired by the classic 70s Martin Scorsese film Taxi Driver during an interview on The One Show.

He explained: ‘It is about an Uber driver who is going through grief and loss and he’s working late nights trying to get away from the loudness in his head. He’s having problems with his wife as well.

‘It’s all about identity and expressing emotion and being a man expressing emotion. I feel like sometimes we only have designated areas at the football where we’re allowed to scream and cry but in real life we have to be the strong man.

‘It’s a really beautifully written and complex film.’
