Coldplay’s Chris Martin went viral last night after jokingly calling out a couple ‘having an affair’ mid-concert.
The band was playing at Gillette Stadium in Boston on Wednesday, and panned around a camera to show the audience members on a big screen.
‘Ooh, look at these two,’ said Chris as the camera panned to a couple watching the concert in an embrace, with the man standing behind the woman.
The duo noticed the cameras and immediately broke apart, covering their faces and ducking away from the camera.
‘Alright, come on, you’re ok! Oh, what?’ he said as they continued to shy away from the camera.
‘Either they’re having an affair or are just very shy!’
The quip was met with 65,000 spectators bursting into laughter and gasping as the frontman may have jokingly ‘outed’ the pair.

A video of the moment has since racked up millions of views on social media, with one video shared by a fan on TikTok nearing six million views.
The internet has also gone wild after seeing this awkward viral video, with many joking about the hilarious encounter.
‘What’s worse, finding out your spouse is cheating or that they’re a fan of Coldplay?’ asked CallMeK1123.
‘I am screaming at that man and woman getting caught allegedly having an affair at the Coldplay concert. Chris Martin calling them out too, I’m in tears,’ HAMPIA4481.

The tour kicked off in 2022 and is scheduled to end in a few months at London’s Wembley Stadium on September 8, 2025.

The tour made headlines last month when the band decided to dust off an old song to play for fans for the first time in nine years.
The British band was in Texas on June 14 and announced to the crowd that they were going to attempt to sing a hit song from their 2005 album X&Y, Speed of Sound.
‘To finish a good time here in El Paso, why don’t we try and reclaim the song Speed of Sound?’ Chris told fans.
‘For those of you who were not born in 2005, here’s Speed of Sound, it’s not that good, but we’re going to try and play it anyway!’
