Chris McCausland is starting 2025 strong off the back of his historic Strictly Come Dancing win.
The comedian, 47, became Strictly’s first-ever blind contestant last year and went on to lift the coveted Glitterball Trophy with professional partner Dianne Buswell in an incredibly tearful finale.
Predictions soon rolled in for Chris’s career trajectory, with PR experts seeing pound signs galore in his sparkling future.
Now, the Liverpudlian star has revealed his first major project, set for release later this year.
After signing a deal with Penguin, Chris is writing a memoir, which will hit shelves in autumn and be titled My Story.
Following the announcement, Chris said: ‘I thought Strictly was terrifying, but my book has a release date, and I haven’t started writing it yet.’
‘Don’t worry, I’m going to start right now,’ he joked.
On what fans can expect, the stand-up star teased: ‘It will be really funny, I promise.’
Reacting to his exciting news, Chris’s followers were keen to congratulate him in the comments.
‘Fantastic! Can’t wait to listen to the audiobook’, commented himmeandthemenagerie.
‘I was definitely waiting for this announcement after recent successes! Looking forward to reading it!’, wrote imogendl.
Australian dance star Dianne also quipped: ‘I best get a special mention @chrismccauslandcomedy 😂’
Publishing Director Rowland White also said in a statement: ‘Like the rest of the country, I’ve been both gripped and incredibly moved by Chris and Dianne’s dazzling progress through Strictly.

‘What had seemed scarcely possible quickly confounded all our preconceptions and expectations. But, of course, Strictly was only the most recent chapter of Chris’s remarkable story.’
He added that he ‘can’t wait for people to read it all.’
Fans have also noticed that Chris doesn’t seem to be giving himself much of a break this year, as he’s also embarking on a nationwide tour across 200+ dates.
Because of this, the performer is unable to take part in the Strictly Live Tour, which kicks off in a matter of weeks.
While the series champion usually heads out on the tour with the rest of the cast and pros, the dates would clash with Chris’s own shows.

He wrote on X: ‘I’m afraid I will not be able to do the Strictly tour. My own tour was meant to be on the road in September and a lot of dates were moved to Jan and Feb to accommodate doing #Strictly.
‘It’s unfortunate as it’s been so much fun, but my own dates can’t be moved for a second time.’
Instead, the lineup will consist of Shayne Ward, JB Gill, Montell Douglas, Wynne Evans, and finalists JB Gill, Tasha Ghouri, and Sarah Hadland.
Meanwhile, Chris will be touring with his own show named Yonks!
It comes after several other TV appearances over the festive period, including taking part in The Big Fat Quiz of the Year on Channel 4 and reading out the network’s alternative Christmas message.
Chris McCausland: My Story will be published on October 9.
