You just never know what is going to happen on live television. Sometimes things go completely sideways, leaving everyone confused and unsure of what to say next. That is exactly what happened on June 9, 2025, during Jenna Bush Hager’s Morning Boost segment on “Today.”
According to PEOPLE, Savannah Guthrie caught her “Today” show co-anchors off guard while teasing the segment, she said, âJenna’s got a little something in the oven for the Boost.â
Everyone Was Confused After Jenna Bush Hager’s Segment Introduction

Carson Daly paused for a moment and then quickly asked, âWait, what?â Guthrie could be heard in the background saying to her male co-anchors Daly, Craig Melvin and Al Roker. “Stop that! Stop that!”
Despite Guthrie’s attempts to shut down the conversation, Al Roker finally blurted out, “Did you say Jenna’s pregnant?â Roker asked, with Daly questioning, âAre you making an announcement?â
Bush Hager momentarily gave up on her segment to acknowledge the conversation, saying, âYou guys, I understood what she said.â
Jenna Bush Hager Has Discussed Adding to Her Family
The 43-year-old co-host is already a super busy mom to daughters Mila, 13, Poppy, 9, and son Hal, 5, whom she shares with husband Henry Hager.
Back in March, Bush Hager and Guthrie discussed the possibility of having more kids when Guthrie co-hosted “Today with Jenna & Friends.”
“Iâm pretty sure Iâve come to terms that three, even though itâs an imperfect number, is the perfect number for our house,â said Bush Hager at the time. During that chat, Savannah Guthrie admitted that she would have loved to have had a third child, but she felt like she was “up against the clock,” due to her age.
Ironically, the women are so close that they are godmothers to each other’s children. “I want to weep because Iâve known Vale-y every day since she was born, many of us have, but also Iâm so lucky to be her godmother,” Bush Hager said. “Iâm so proud of her because everything youâve given to them, all of your faith that youâve passed down so gently, without preaching, without demanding, are in those little kids, and when the world feels dark, that is hope.”
Even if a fourth child isn’t in the cards for Jenna Bush Hager, she is most certainly surrounded by kids every single day.
