Colin Jost is giving major green-flag energy! Scarlett Johansson‘s Husband has the perfect reaction to his wife’s career milestone. Over the weekend, news broke that the “Avengers” and “Jurassic Park Rebirth” star’s films have raked in over $14.8 billion globally. Johansson is now ahead of Marvel co-stars Robert Downey Jr. and Samuel L. Jackson.

As per Numbers, her latest movie, “Jurassic Park Rebirth“, opened in theaters on July 2 and pulled in $322.5 million on opening weekend alone, cementing Johansson’s new spot at the top.

According to Entertainment Weekly, many of Johansson’s biggest box office wins come from her iconic role as Black Widow in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Her top-grossing films include:

Colin Jost Jokes About Being Half of a $15 Billion Box Office Couple

Speaking with Entertainment Tonight, Saturday Night Live’s Colin Jost had a charming take on his wife’s history-making success.

“Combined, me and her are probably one of the top couples at the box office ever,” he joked. “She’s probably doing a lot of that lifting, but combined, that’s a huge record too.”

He continued with mock bravado, listing off his own “blockbusters”: “Tom & Jerry, Coming 2 America, How to Be Single. I think those may have all been number one movies… yet.”

Entertainment Tonight highlighted the hilarious contrast in their earnings: Johansson with $14.8 billion, and Jost with a more modest $249 million.

From SNL Afterparty to Hollywood Power Couple

According to Page Six, Colin Jost and Scarlett Johansson first sparked dating rumors in May 2017 after they were spotted together at an SNL afterparty. Just a few months later, they made their red carpet debut as a couple at the American Museum of Natural History Gala in New York City.

Their relationship quickly blossomed. As per AP, Colin proposed in May 2019, and the two tied the knot in an intimate ceremony in October 2020. In August 2021, they welcomed their first child, with Jost announcing the news on Instagram. Since then, the couple has kept their life together low-key, supportive, and seriously goals-worthy.

Meanwhile, SNL wrapped its 50th season in May and is on summer hiatus. Though it’s unclear if Jost will return, Season 51 is expected to premiere this fall.
