Comedian Mo Gilligan confirms ‘secret child’ in shock social media post

Comic Mo Gilligan has seemingly addressed claims that he has a secret child with a model in a new story on Instagram.

The 37-year-old TV personality reportedly secretly fathered a child following a short-term relationship with model Selina Christoforou and is believed to be expecting another baby with wellness influencer Taia Tulher, his current partner.

After days of fierce speculation, Gilligan finally broke his silence on social media by sharing a video on his Instagram story of him playing giant Connect Four with a toddler with a heart emoji over the child’s face, whom he called Rudi.

The short black-and-white video was paired with the song Emotionless by Drake, specifically the lyrics: ‘I wasn’t hidin’ my kid from the world / I was hidin’ the world from my kid,

‘From empty souls, who just wake up and look to debate / Until you starin’ at your seed, you can never relate,

‘Breakin’ news in my life, I don’t run to the blogs / The only ones I wanna tell are the ones I can call,

‘They always ask, why let the story run if it’s false? /You know, a wise man once said nothin’ at all.’

There is no further explanation or comment on the post from Gilligan providing details on exactly who the boy is, but the name he calls him lines up with the previous reports.

It comes after The Sun reported that the Masked Singer judge had a brief romance with Christoforou in 2023, after the pair connected via social media. Their son, named Rudi, was born in January 2024.

Insiders suggested that he sees the child ‘semi-regularly’.

The source added: ‘Selina found out she was pregnant in May last year. It was a surprise for them both… but she chose to have the baby, and she absolutely adores him.’

Meanwhile, it is understood he has been in a relationship with Tulher for the past two years, with reports that they now live together and are preparing for the arrival of a baby in the coming weeks.

Tulher announced her pregnancy in March, although she did not specifically name Gilligan as the father.

Alongside a picture of her with her pregnancy bump, she wrote: ‘Today, I carry the love that made me… and the love I’ve only just begun to understand.’

Gilligan’s career has skyrocketed from internet fame to becoming a regular on UK television.

He is a regular on Celebrity Gogglebox and co-hosts The Big Narstie Show on Channel 4.

The presenter is also known for The Lateish Show with Mo Gilligan, which was cancelled a couple of years ago.
