All three seasons of Sullivan’s Crossing were added to Netflix in the UK on October 1, and fans are already enjoying the feel-good Canadian drama.
The show has shot up to number four in Netflix’s top 10 UK series chart, after it enjoyed cross-border success in the US and Canada.
Sullivan’s Crossing stars Morgan Kohan as Maggie Sullivan, a talented neurosurgeon who returns to Nova Scotia from Boston to reunite with her estranged father, Sully. He’s played by Scott Patterson of Gilmore Girls fame.
As Maggie tries to adjust to her new surroundings, she encounters newcomer Cal, who works as a handyman, and a romantic connection starts to grow. Their feelings become hard to ignore, despite Maggie already having an existing boyfriend, Andrew, played by Allan Hawco.

He called the show ‘an emotionally rich and beautifully crafted drama,’ which he said ‘strikes a perfect balance between heartfelt storytelling and breathtaking scenery.’

Its bingeable quality has viewers steaming through the episodes quickly. @averageallison on X, said: ‘So what if I watched the first two seasons of Sullivan’s Crossing in a few days???’.
She’s not the only one who has commented on its addictive nature as @iamsydneywelch claimed: ‘Sullivan’s Crossing on Netflix has me in a chokehold.’


Although it’s not to everyone’s tastes, as @cathcfireclffrd on X called it ‘lowk boring as hell’. @karrokick agreed, and said: ‘Yet it continues to get renewed? What is the reason?’.
The series is created by Roma Roth and adapted from Robyn Carr’s book series with the same name. Carr is the author of Virgin River, another hit Netflix series that ran for six seasons, with a seventh and eighth confirmed.
If you’re looking for something in the meantime, Sullivan’s Crossing has all the elements of a comforting, autumnal watch.
With beautiful scenery and romantic storylines, one viewer exclaimed: ‘I’m four episodes in […] and I’m having the time of my life’.
