’90 Day Fiancé’ Isn’t Amani and Matt’s First Reality TV Show </a>

<p id=”par-2_51″>Amani, her husband Matt, and their girlfriend Any made their <a href=”https://www.cheatsheet.com/entertainment/90-day-fiance-season-11-cast-instagrams.html/”><em>90 Day </em>debut</a> earlier this year. The season 11 cast members are the first people in a polyamorous relationship to be featured on the show, which typically follows an American who is attempting to bring their foreign fiancé to the U.S. </p>
<p id=”par-3_98″>In Matt and Amani’s case, they are looking to take the next step with Any, their girlfriend who lives just across the border in Tijuana and works as an exotic dancer. But for that to happen, Matt and Amani would need to legally divorce, so that one of them could bring Any to the U.S. on a K-1 fiancé visa and then marry her. That’s a plan that TLC viewers have seen play out before on <em>Seeking Sister Wife, </em>when <a href=”https://www.cheatsheet.com/news/seeking-sister-wife-star-dannielle-merrifield-insists-husband-garrick-not-superficial-man.html/”>Garrick Merrifield divorced his wife Danielle</a> so he could marry his Brazilian girlfriend, Roberta. (The wedding never happened.)</p>
<p id=”par-4_61″>Amani and Matt’s scheme to bring Any to the United States hasn’t gone over well with all <em>90 Day </em>viewers. Some have accused the pair of planning to engage in immigration fraud, while others think they have no intention of ever marrying Any, and that the entire storyline is fake. Others just aren’t comfortable with the idea of a polyamorous relationship. </p>
<p id=”par-5_11″>“Icky vibes on so many levels,” one person commented on <a href=”https://www.instagram.com/p/DIovjX9IZJj/?hl=en” target=”_blank” rel=”noreferrer noopener”>Instagram</a>.</p>
<p id=”par-6_24″>“This is such a stretch of a story line!!! Totally fake is my opinion!!! Out for the 15 min of fame,” another critic wrote. </p>
<p id=”par-7_17″>“This couple should be on <em>Seeking Sister Wife </em>and not <em>90 Day Fiancé</em>,” another disappointed fan <a href=”https://www.instagram.com/p/DIbtNhNsNjd/?hl=en” target=”_blank” rel=”noreferrer noopener”>said</a>. </p>
<h2 class=”wp-block-heading” id=”h-amani-jlassi-isn-t-bothered-by-her-haters”>Amani Jlassi isn’t bothered by her ‘haters’ </h2>
<p id=”par-8_61″>Amani, Matt, and Any’s unusual relationship isn’t a hit with all <em>90 Day </em>fans. But Amani – who works in tech sales and calls herself a “boss babe” – isn’t bothered by the critics. After the May 4 episode aired, she took to her <a href=”https://www.instagram.com/theamanijlassi/” target=”_blank” rel=”noreferrer noopener”>Instagram</a> Story to share a message with those who’d like to see less of her on TV.</p>
<p id=”par-9_26″>“POV: even the hate pays the bills,” she wrote on a short video of a blonde woman dancing by a pool. “Thank u to my haters.” </p>
<p id=”par-10_24″>All attention is good attention, Amani suggested in another post, where she acknowledged that some people might not appreciate her appearance on the show. </p>
<p id=”par-11_21″>“Even if it’s bad, it doesn’t matter — you’re still talking about us,” she wrote in an April 22 <a href=”https://www.instagram.com/p/DIwfPXevo2S/” target=”_blank” rel=”noreferrer noopener”>Instagram</a> post. </p>
<p id=”par-12_41″>One reason Amani is able to roll with the punches? This isn’t her first experience on reality TV. She and Matt also appeared on Netflix’s <em>How to Get Rich, </em>where they shared a warts-and-all look at their finances and their relationship. </p>
<p id=”par-13_67″>“Being on reality TV before was a growth experience that shaped me into who I am today,” she wrote in a March 3 <a href=”https://www.instagram.com/p/DGwTmZUS3qg/” target=”_blank” rel=”noreferrer noopener”>Instagram</a> update. “It was hard, and I expect nothing less this time around. Going on reality TV is tough — it can break you — but I will always rise and find a way to pick myself back up, stronger than I was before.”</p>
