Georgina Rodriguez has flashed her humongous engagement ring at Venice Film Festival after her beau of eight years, Cristiano Ronaldo, popped the question last month.
The model and influencer, 31, wasn’t coy in showing off her dazzler on the red carpet, but encouraged jaws to the floor – gaping at the 30-carat oval-cut diamond ring, said to be worth up to $10mil (£7.5mil), according to UK jeweller Steven Stone.
Subtlety is clearly not Georgina’s strong point, as she struck poses specifically designed to flaunt the almost comically enormous ring, like clutching her head dramatically and tilting it to the side and flicking her hands in the air for photographers.
Georgina accessorised her ring with a bodycon laced dress and finished off the look with a further three huge rings and a chunky diamond choker necklace.
Portuguese footballer Cristiano, 40 – who has a reported net worth of $275mil (£203mil) according to Forbes – popped the question last month.
The pair posted a photo on Instagram with their hands together on a bed, as famous friends sent their well wishes and Georgina wrote: ‘Yes I do. In this and in all my lives.’
The Argentinian-born model – who was raised in Spain – met the Al-Nassr captain in 2016 when she was working as a sales assistant at a Gucci store in Madrid.
Cristiano and Georgina share five children together. They have two daughters – Alana, eight, and Bella, three. Bella’s twin brother Ángel tragically died during birth in 2022.
Georgina has also helped to raise Cristiano’s other three children – Cristiano Jr, 15, Mateo, eight, and Eva Maria, eight – who are not her biological children, but who she treats as her own.
The former Manchester United footballer has never disclosed the identity of Cristiano Jr’s mother.
He said on the Jonathan Ross Show in 2015: ‘Some points in life are private and people have to respect privacy.
‘When Cristiano is going to grow up, I am always going to say the truth to him because he deserves it, because he is my son. But I am not going to say [it just] because people want me to say.’
Cristiano Jr. appears to be taking after his famous father, as he is currently playing as a left winger for Al-Nassr’s U15 academy team.
In 2017 Cristiano welcomed twins Eva and Mateo via surrogate, and months before their birth he began dating Georgina.
When their baby boy died, Cristiano and Georgina wrote a joint statement which read: ‘It is with our deepest sadness we have to announce that our baby boy has passed away.’
‘It is the greatest pain that any parent can feel.’
They continued: ‘Only the birth of our baby girl gives us the strength to live this moment with some hope and happiness.
‘We would like to thank the doctors and nurses for all their expert care and support. We are all devastated at this loss and we kindly ask for privacy at this very difficult time.’
