D4vd’s name became public fodder in September when police located the body of Celeste Rivas Hernandez, 14, in the trunk of a Tesla registered to the singer. The vehicle had been impounded after it was seemingly abandoned on a Los Angeles street. As it turned out, it was left not far from <a href=”https://www.cheatsheet.com/news/d4vds-manager-breaks-lease-following-lapd-raid.html/”>where D4vd was staying</a>. An insider speaking to <a href=”https://abc7.com/post/celeste-rivas-hernandez-case-d4vid-considered-suspect-death-investigation-teen-girl-found-dead-tesla-source-says/18171184″>ABC7</a> revealed that police had zeroed in on D4vd as a suspect in the teen’s death. Still, the source claimed, they were also looking at the possibility that he did not work alone.</p>
<p id=”par-5_76″>The insider’s proclamation was the first time an official source named the singer as a potential suspect in the teen’s death. Around the same time, the medical examiner placed a hold on Celeste Rivas Hernandez’s records. The security hold means no one, aside from police, can gain access to the records. The records may contain information about her cause of death and the state in which her body was found. Toxicology findings are also likely included.</p>

The grand jury isn’t solely responsible for handing down an indictment in the state of California. Still, it does provide recommendations to prosecutors, including whether to file charges.</p>
<p id=”par-7_75″>If the grand jury has been meeting since mid-November, they may hand down their recommendations soon. It can take weeks for them to hear all the evidence needed to make a recommendation. Assuming they agree that the evidence is sufficient for an arrest, an indictment will be issued, and charges can be filed.
