It’s what I wanted to be,” says <a href=”https://www.cheatsheet.com/entertainment/deadliest-catch-inside-jake-andersons-fathers-death.html/”>Captain Jake Anderson</a>. </p>
<p id=”par-5_29″>“Being part of <em>Deadliest Catch </em>is being part of a legacy. It spawned a whole new generation of television. There was no reality TV before,” says Captain Keith Colburn. </p>

<p id=”par-9_61″>Fishing the Bering Sea is never easy, as <em>Deadliest Catch </em>viewers know. But this season, the captains will face special challenges. Alaska’s Red King Crab fishery has finally reopened, igniting the first derby-style race in years. The intense, highly competitive timeframe forces the captains into serious rivalries that will push everyone to their limit. Extreme weather conditions only amplify the tensions. </p>
<p id=”par-10_31″>“El Niño was really rough this last fall,” Hansen said in an interview with <a href=”https://people.com/deadliest-catch-season-20-captain-sig-hansen-teases-whats-to-come-exclusive-8657624″ target=”_blank” rel=”noreferrer noopener”>People</a>. “We had a man overboard, and for me, that never happened. But it happened this time.”</p>
<p id=”par-11_19″>“Derby [race] is not easy,” he added. “Derby is very dangerous. You don’t stop, and so every minute counts.”</p>
