
In her later years, Diane Keaton remained quietly engaged in social life, and one of her last public appearances was a memorable evening at a mentalist show alongside famous friends.
Though details about the event are sparse, the mentalist Lior Suchard shared the clip on social media with a sweet tribute. Keaton was accompanied by Barbra Streisand and Goldie Hawn.
Suchard wrote, âDiane couldnât stop laughing the whole evening. After the show she stayed to talk about life, humor and the beauty of thoughts.â
âWe met a few more times over the years and she was always the same, funny, sharp, kind and so full of life,â he continued. âShe had this way of making everyone around her feel at ease and truly seen.â
The outing offers a touching glimpse into the actressâs commitment to cherishing connection and cultureâright up until the end.
Keatonâs passing at age 79 on October 11, 2025, was confirmed by her family, with early reports and her death certificate citing bacterial pneumonia as the cause.
She died in California and was cremated three days later. Her family requested privacy and expressed gratitude for the outpouring of public support.

âI had the wonderful opportunity to work with her and she was a very special artist and person. Very unique and just what a wonderful artist,â he said.

Director Nancy Meyers, Keatonâs longtime collaborator, shared her sadness in a touching post.
âShe made everything better. Every set up, every day, in every movie, I watched her give it her all. When I needed her to cry in scene after scene in Somethingâs Gotta Give she went at it hard and then somehow made it funny,â she told fans.
Keaton Attended Jack Nicholson’s Birthday Prior to Her Passing
Prior to Keaton’s passing, she attended the birthday party for her famous pal Jack Nicholson.
Actor Ed Begley Jr., who was also in “Book Club,” recalled seeing his former costar at the party.
“I saw her fairly recently at Jack Nicholson’s birthday party, and it was good to see her there,â he said.
Nicholson’s birthday was at the end of April. Keatonâs last public appearance was in 2024 when she was spotted doing everyday tasks.
âShe loved Jack Nicholson, as I do, and Jack loved her. So I donât mean to speak for him. Iâm sure heâs as devastated as I am by her loss,â he told the outlet.
