Dierks Bentley is preparing to release his 11th studio album, “Broken Branches,” which will honor several influential country music artists. The country star revealed the album will be released on June 13 and draws inspiration from artists who make the âtough trekâ to Nashville in pursuit of their artistic dreams.
âEveryone in Nashville is kind of a broken branch off the family tree. Everyone has moved from somewhere to be here and chase this crazy country music dream,â Bentley told People exclusively. âYou’re trying to carve out your little path, while playing music at honky-tonks. So the musicianship of this record really draws from all the different types of players that are here in town, from country to bluegrass.â

The singer reportedly listened to more than 4,000 songs before selecting seven for the long-anticipated album. He is credited as a co-writer on four of the tracks. The album will also feature several well-known names, including John Anderson, Miranda Lambert, and newcomer Riley Green, who is steadily making his way into the genre.
âI love every decade of my life, and thereâs a lot of wisdom that comes with getting older. I just feel so happy. Seeing the younger guys getting to live out their dreams, but also having my mentors steer the path as I go forward,â Bentley said about collaborating with different generations. âI feel really lucky to be in what I consider the sweet spot of my career and my life.â
“The Broken Branches” Tour
The “Drunk on a Plane” singer is expected to support the album with an official tour launching in May, featuring special guests Zach Top and The Band Loula. The tour is set to begin in Austin, Texas, and conclude in Clarkston, Michigan, in August.
Bentley first signed with Capitol Nashville in 2003 and quickly released his debut album, followed by his 2005 platinum-certified album “Modern Day Drifter.” He went on to receive a gold certification for his third album, “Long Trip Alone,” released in 2006. Since then, his career has only continued to rise. With a robust catalog, Bentley has amassed more than 27 singles on the Hot Country Songs and Country Airplay charts, with 18 of them reaching No. 1.
