New interest in Archuleta performing on DWTS came after professional dancer Ezra Sosa posted a short video on Instagram of him teaching the singer a few moves.

In the clip, Sosa teaches Archuleta how to salsa. You can see how he learns the moves and appears to gain more confidence in his abilities over time. Sosa captioned the post with a short message, writing, âDiva can dance @davidarchie #dwts @worldpridemusicfestival.â Archuleta reacted to the post, writing, âLook at our little Utah raised booties go so good to see you at world pride today Ezra and thanks for stopping by at the show!â
Fans have reacted with excitement to Archuletaâs dancing, but have also expressed their desire to see him join DWTS and partner with Sosa. âYou and David on DWTS would be fabulous!!!!â a comment reads. âLetâs hope the casting directors and producers are watching haha,â another shared.

The complete list of celebrity competitors has not yet been announced for Season 34, which gives fans hope for Archuleta’s potential casting. So far, only Robert Irwin and Alix Earle have been confirmed to join the show. Still, there have been speculations about Dylan Efron’s casting, as well as that of “Summer House” star Ciara Miller and “Secret Lives of Mormon Wives” cast member Whitney Leavitt. Sosa and Archuletaâs history goes way back! Fans may remember when the âAmerican Idolâ alum released his Christmas album, “Winter in the Air,” in 2018. Sosa appeared in one of his videos alongside Cassidy Forsyth.
âWe decided to have dancers because thereâs a grace in wintertime â a sacred stillness,â Archuleta told Variety. âBeing outdoors in nature to experience that was the obvious way to show that, but I thought having a coupleâs dance to interpret that in a different way would be really beautiful.â
