Eamonn Holmes, 65, rushed to hospital in ambulance after ‘painful’ accident

Eamonn Holmes has been rushed to the hospital following an accident at his home.

On May 2, the GB News presenter posted a photo of the inside of an ambulance along with a caption explaining he’d had a fall.

‘An unexpected journey this morning,’ the 65-year-old wrote. ‘Bit of a fall on the bathroom floor. Gosh, it hurts. Thank you ambulance crew.’

Following the post, several fans sent Eammon their best, wishing him a speedy recovery.

‘Oh Eamonn, sending much love,’ wrote Andrea. While Carol added, ‘Hope you recover quickly. ‘

Meanwhile, Wenmonwe added: ‘Take care, Eamonn. Used to love you on GMTV with Fiona. No better duo. Wishing you a Speedy Recovery.’

Eamonn’s reps declined to comment about the accident when approached by Metro.

The veteran presenter has suffered a number of health problems in recent years.

In 2016, Eamonn had a double hip replacement after suffering from pain and mobility issues.

Then, in 2022, after years of chronic back pain, he underwent spinal surgery to treat a slipped disc.

Since the medical procedure, he has had to use a walking aid and a mobility scooter to get around.

In March this year, the former This Morning host got candid about his health problems, telling his Instagram followers, ‘Even when the sun shines, there’s pain.’

‘Sometimes I feel I’ll never beat this disc immobility but I’m determined to have a life ….. so pray for me, help me or get out of the way Social Media haters.’

Last year in May, Eamonn and his wife Ruth Langsford, 64, with whom he previously presented This Morning, announced they were splitting up.

In a statement, the pair confirmed their marriage was over and that they are in the process of divorcing.

Eammon had previously suggested that his health problems caused issues in his marriage.

“Even my own family are bored of my moaning,’ he told The Sun, adding that Ruth was fed up of hearing about the pain he was in.

Towards the end of 2024, the presenter has been dating counsellor Katie Alexander, 43, and the pair have been seen at public events together.
